What's Rudy Giuliani's life going to look like post shenanigans?

I’m just using Rudy as an example. I’m more curious about how wealthy people in general deal with ruin.

So assuming he doesn’t go to jail, what’s his life going to look like?

I mean he’s several millions of dollars in debt. It’s not like he’s going to be living in a cheap one bedroom apartment. Right?

He just declared bankruptcy.

I understand that. That’s why I’m asking the question.

WAG he’ll end up in a condo that, while below his usual standards, is still better than what most of us would own.
I have to assume TPTB will still allow him to keep enough money to live. If he still has any income, I could see them letting him keep, say, 10k a month and the rest goes to his debts.

If he’s not living in a refrigerator box under a freeway overpass, it’s too good for him. From “America’s Mayor” to “Apologist for Fascism” inside of twenty years is a real slide down the Slope of Moral Turpitude.

Solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short.

We can take away people’s money, but we can’t stop them from being rich. No, I don’t understand how that works, either.

The Shenanigans have to stop for there to be a ‘post’.

I’m hoping it involves a wardrobe of orange jumpsuits, but I think that may be somewhat wishful.

Only as reported by the news. He started his public career at the bottom of that slope.

Just because he’s poor doesn’t mean he needs to act poor. But, by the time his troubles are over he’ll be taking a dirt nap. From America’s Mayor to America’s Dumbass, I hope he continues to get all the mock and humiliation he so richly earned.

He will sponge off his rich friends. They own properties and cars that they seldom if ever use. You can’t stop people from giving the use of things like a ride or a place to crash. He can “borrow” a cell phone and keep getting new ones to use. Not agaisnt the law to feed him either.

In short, nothing will be tied back to him and as long as they don’t give him cash through a traceable method he can flaunt his liefestyle freely.

Bankruptcy doesn’t remove what he owes to those poor women. But I bet he goes on a road tour with Alex Jones or something. “And for the encore, Rudy’s hair will drip!”

He’ll work for Fox as a “consultant.” Friendly courts will slash the award amount, so that the women are paid off for pennies on the dollar. Finally, he’ll marry for money to some rich widow who is still enamored with his fame. The two of them will settle together in some small mid-west town where there are plenty of MAGAts to worship at his feet.

Not the future I’d prefer for him, but that is what will happen.

Rudy will have a well deserved heart attack looking face down at a New York sidewalk.

Not sure about this. Rudy and friends cost Fox a bundle of money. They might not want him blabbering about conspiracies as the Fox payroll.

Good point. Well, some GOP donor company will hire him as a consultant.

Wouldn’t those earnings be garnished?

Yes, but they leave enough to “live” on, for various definitions. A person who was previously poor might get $3,000 per month to live on, while a wealthy person will get much more. At any rate, the bankruptcy court will negotiate the award way down and then GOP billionaires will give him a book deal or something to cover it.
