Donald Trump wished him well on Truth Social and of course couldn’t help but repeat The Big Lie in the same post.
If whatever is requiring Rudy to be in the hospital is painful, I’m ok with that. I’m also ok if it lingers a long, long time.
I’ll have to stock up on vomit bags for when he dies, we’ll hear over and over again how “he was so good during 9/11”. He supported the greatest criminal in US history, I don’t give a fuck what he did on 9/11 (as if he did anything).
Well, he is 81 years old, soon to be 82 (born in late May, as per his Wikipedia page). Could be just that he’s wearing out from age.
I hope he makes good on all the money he owes to the innocent people he tried to ruin, and dies soon.
When he was Trump’s go-to guy, Rudy Giuliani felt like he was on SEAL Team Six. Once he was no longer of any real use to Trump, he was left naked, cold, alone, afraid, inebriated, defenseless, and vulnerable.
And the vultures began to circle.
His fundamental mistake – trusting Trump – was as obvious as it was incomprehensible to millions of us.

As it’d been widely reported that he had been a heavy drinker for years (though he repeatedly denied having a drinking problem in recent years), I guess I wouldn’t be surprised if his current condition is alcohol-related.

@ekedolphin, while Rudy is a political figure (and a polarizing one at that!) this seems to be either breaking-news or a Pit thread than a P&E thread. I’m going to leave it as it stands right now, at least if it doesn’t go deep into Pit-territory, but I’d bet it will be heading there. To all, please let’s try for the moment to keep it towards speculation on the source, political results (if any) and support or derision from his peers rather than our own pitting until we hear from the OP.
Seriously, I’m asking nicely rather than just closing the thread and waiting for permission to move it to the Pit.

Well, I actually haven’t paid much attention to him recently so I have to ask; does he still have any political role anymore that would be affected by his death?
Speaking as a poster, I don’t think he personally wields any political power, but Trump’s defense of sorts in his Twuth means the chance of him being used as a martyr to the cause is a possibility.

I totally expect that once the demons animating him leave for new targets, that he’ll liquify into a puddle of greasy black goo, perhaps to one day reform with his kin and kill Tasha Yar.

Ah yes, the greatest mayor in NYC history! The absolute genius who moved the city’s Emergency Command Center to the World Trade Center five years after it was attacked by terrorists. Brilliant, Rudy, just fucking brilliant.
Rudy wasn’t half the mayor Bloomberg was, and that’s just an example from the past twenty years. Hell, even the bumbling goof deBlasio was better.
Is this in any way related to the traumatic back injury he got at that grocery store?

It has been taking a long time; he was leaking black goo as far back as 2020 during those pathetic attempts to prove the election was stolen.
Well, now that it’s in the Pit, I feel as much sympathy for him as he’d for me if I was the one in the hospital; none at all. He’s an awful and unprincipled person who has supported terrible positions, and typically abandoned any good ones he supposedly had whenever it became convenient.
Also, he’s a Republican which condemns him all by itself.
There are two ways for someone in Giuliani’s financial position to get out of the hopeless debt that he’s in. One way is for Trump to bail him out. Ha ha! Seriously, there’s really only one way, and that is to die.
It may be that excessive drinking sped him on his way, but that was probably a symptom of stress due to all his recent misfortunes, and stress is a killer.
OTOH, like the Dracula figure that he so closely resembles, he may just rise again – the undead among the living.
