A vague question...

OK, I’m in college and as such have no connection to what goes on in thw world around me, save for news reports during The Simpsons.
Now, here’s my question. A while ago (a week or two) my parents told me about this guy they say was interviewed on 20/20, or 60 minutes, or some other news magazine. He has apparantly invented a miracle ‘thing.’ Every American is suppose to have at least one of these ‘things’ within a year after they come out, and most likely more than one. He has not and will not, to my parents’ knowledge, divulged any information on it. Who is this guy, and is there some site aobut him and his miracle ‘thing’?

As I said, kinda vague.

Hey, bouv!

I’d provide a link or two, but I’m late and gotta run out the door… do a search on “IT” in GQ; there were several threads about this a few weeks ago…

I tried the search on “IT” myself and got nowhere…

Try going here… it should give you a start on what to look for…

Damn! I’m gonna be late…

I was thinking about this on the way to work…

D’Oh!! As if EVERY thread ever started doesn’t have the word “it” in it somewhere!

Astroidiot!

Thanks for the link, I’ll try it out.

I saw that report…his name is Dean Kamen, and he won’t give any information about his project, but I guess he said something to the effect that it’s not that earthshattering, it’s just media hype. He’s invented some other pretty cool stuff though, like a wheel chair that stands on two wheels and climbs stairs and stuff. Most people think IT’s some kind of personal transportation thing, a sort of scooter.
