A Very Grumpy MMP

OK, regarding music of our youth now being “classic” and “oldies” and such, how about this: Honest-to-goodness, I heard a muzak version of Devo’s Whip It! How’s that for surreal??

**Nava **- sorry to hear about your grandmother, but I seem to recall you felt this was coming soon. Hope all the final arrangements are relatively drama-free.

Home from breakfast and some erranding. We’ve come up with a resolution to the car issue, so that’s a relief. I was looking for some stuff to take to my daughter and I came across my Purdue ID card - with my SSN printed right across the front. We were tough in the 70s - we didn’t worry 'bout no identity theft!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

Strangely enough almost the same here but sausage. And much hot sauce. Prompting the laundry.

She was 15 days shy of turning 103 years old, so we can’t exactly say “so young”. Aunt has decided there will be no wake and no funeral, we’ve decided we’ll have a memorial here. Jay may be going to the interment, but Ed and I can’t.

Those falls are pretty, big kitty.

I’m glad you’re OK, Nava, and I hope that you’re back in your wheels soon. Siento tu abuela tambien. :frowning:

Mooooom, you were in Indiana around the same time that I was getting a driver’s license and opening a checking account. The driver’s lisence number was your social security number and, yes, most of us had them printed on our checks, as many places of business required it. :smack:

I had a nice brunch on the patio and am fixing to do the dishes, put up a couple of hooks in the laundry room and clean up the studio. After that, I’ll either take a ride or fart around in the studio before getting breakfasts/lunches ready for the week and making supper (roast rosemary lemon chicken with white wine - mushroom pan sauce, rice pilaf, green beans almondine and a baguette, washed down with some of the same chardonnay that went into the pan sauce).

Happy Sunday!

**Red **- when I was in boot camp, we had to write our SSN in our return address on letters home, and our correspondents had to put on on letters addressed to us. I’m not entirely sure why, since it already had our name and company number. But it was 1973 and things were different.

Only if all y’all do the choreo

I slept in. It didn’t help. I still have a killer headache, the kind you get a couple of day before a full blown head cold. I has a big ol’
BLURF

Howdy Y’all! All deheathenated, ush duty completed and N.O.L. et. Nappage is up next. We’s both tahrd so nappage moved to the top of the “to do” list.

{{{Nava}}} so sorry about your abuela but glad you weren’t hurt in the accident.

OK, nappage pronto!

That’s a sign of the End Times, that is.

:frowning: {{{Nava}}} :frowning:

The falls were not there today. The drought is still not over. So, doggio, if you could be a pal and soak up some of that excess rainfall and send it over west, t’would be greatly appreciated. Other than that, it was a good hike. There must have been fifteen hundred chipmunks running around.

Now it’s time for laundry and catching up on minor odds and ends. Later I’m going to watch Saloméin honor of Oscar Wilde’s 162nd birthday. Hopefully it will inspire me on the story revision I’m about to embark on. Wilde has that effect on me. Not sure why, but he does.

Nappage has been achieved. No, I have not been nappin’ all this time. I got some steaks marinatin’ for tomorrow night (men’s night over to the church house), gathered up some trash to put in the biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig trash can as tomorrow is trash day, and cleaned some pinestraw and leaves outta the cee-mint pond. All that is in addition to nappage. Now I shall see what’s happenin’ on teh intartoobz.

Back from the English exam, it didn’t happen yesterday because we didn’t check the testing center hours. The professor said it was an hour and a half test but it was actually a two hour test. I was starting to worry when he was late coming out.
So yesterday was hamburger helper - taco flavor and it is YUK, and today is tacohell and McD’s. Actually the hamburger helper wouldn’t be bad as a dip for chips.

{{{Nava}}} I’m sorry about your grandmother.

We ordered pizza for a late lunch/early supper. I made some chickie-rice soup with the leftover chicken and rice - it’ll be tomorrow’s supper.

**FCD **is watching football and snoozing. I’m just chilling. Life is good.

{{{Nava}}} Sorry to hear about your grandmother. (I asked my Latino husband how to say this properly and he said “I don’t know”. Grrrr.)

I think both storm had the kindness to move North and hit Washington and British Columbia. We did have some tornadoes, a lot of wind, and, of course, lots of rain. So, it’s Fall.

I have registered to vote under the deadline. I am now polishing up on the Oregon driver’s code, so I can get my Driver’s License. I had one before and just finally let it go about 2 years ago. Oh well. I’m not so good a seeing the future sometimes.

i went to The Container Store, and bought stuff. Now my kitchen is even more organized. My washer hasn’t been wanting to do the spin cyle the last few days. Today, all it dies is the spin cycle, no wash.:dubious:

If I could reverse the rivers I could. Still a lot of folks down here flooded out.:frowning:

As with most of my plans, It Seemed to Be a Good Idea at the Time.

Did you sing Soft Kitty (appliance version) to it?

I’m thinking approach it with wire cutters and ask, “What if a man began pulling a few plugs?”

swampy, much thanks for the info; I have been an agnostic areligionist (There may be a God; but if so, no religion is even close to being accurate) for so long I don’t keep a running score on the varieties.

{{{Nava}}}. Hope the car gets well and that Grandma went peacefully (103 is quite an accomplishment).

flytrap, I look forward to the headline tomorrow “Man rescued from Washing Machine: I was just trying to cut some wires, He says”.

Ate a big mess o’pasta at Olive Garden today and am just now feeling a bit hungry, so a couple of sammiches are in my near future. Watering the yard tomorrow is on the agenda, haven’t had rain in over two weeks (chance of it Thursday).

Otherwise just a quite Sunday of reading, both book and web.

I have an MsInc.
A dish washer doesn’t stand a chance.
