I think it’s a test. I think we’re failing. We’re not ready to join the galactic community.

I may be drinking TSC Pumpking while I wait for my pizza to arrive.
Whatcha talkin bout, Willis?
I wasn’t up that early to do anything with a pig, drink, & or tailgate; & iffn I was to get up that early to cook outside, it would involve wood & some charcoal. These are two of the four that departed terra firma together this morning.
Lunch was with an old friend. I had breaded & pan-fried grouper sam’ich on the deck of a restaurant overlooking the ‘lantic Ocean; doesn’t get much better than that! (unless I ordered a beer to wash it down, but I had too many hours & miles ahead of me for that; therefore, I shall have it now. ;)) She suggested I meet her at the restaurant instead of coming to her house because of all of the detours because of the zombies walkin’ down the street!!!
Just got home & unloaded the car - 15+ hours, 280+ miles, 400+ pictures & four events after I left this morning! Wonder how much of the pix & video I’ll get downloaded before I crash?
Clearly you suffer from Baabaa-a-phobia ---------- which is the unreasoning fear of waking up in the Ozarks wearing a sheep costume.
Had a good ride all around the region today and a visit to Castle Blood for the evening. The moon in these wisps of clouds was just perfect for it.
I have a dilemma. Hubby grandson is getting married in GA on Dec 31st at midnight. Dec 31st is also our anniversary. Hubby must go as it is his only grandson and the first grandchild to get married. I can’t be off irk very long during this time period as it’s our very busiest time of the year. So, if we fly I can go as we would leave on Friday and come back on Sunday. Tis expensive to fly. Hubs would rather drive but it is about 14 hours each way. I am not wanting to drive 14 hours each way in a three day period. Too old for that.
I am inclined to just not go which means I will be all alone for my anniversary and New Year’s Eve. I guess it is kind of cool they decided to marry on Grandad"s anniversary but Tis messing me up. I don’t really know what to do. I say let’s just send the happy couple a nice size check and skip the wedding. I already know that hubby will probably go with or without me. He told me he did not care if we don’t go but I know him well enough that he will say that now then he will go without me.
Decisions, decisions.
You misunderstand.
They brought him here to be rid of him.
Now Rosie will lead us in singing, “Let’s Do the Time Warp Again”.
Believe me, doggio, we have banjos in Tennessee too.
Rode a couple of hundred miles today up on the Cumberland Plateau. We found a real old school steakhouse, complete with piano player (and when did Cyndi Lauper become easy listening piano bar music?) for a most excellent dinner.
I’s tahred!
It’s currently 43º out with an expected low of 46º. :smack:
Bullstock rocked. Now I’m home, and enjoying a cold beer and a warm puppy.
Ally Catt has the zoomies.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 65 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 85 and mostly cloudy for the day with maybe a chance of rain. I do not believe that. TWPTB always lie about that. Today’s plan calls for deheathenization with ush duty followed by major chillage this afternoon/evenin’. Even N.O.L. and dindin will be forage da fridge. Sounds like a good plan to me.
BigKitty just to clarify we live in sin in the state of Jawja.
Butters sucks that that’s also your anniversary. If I were you I’d opt not to go unless you fly due to the time constraints. I couldn’t blame hubby for goin’ bein’ as it is his grandson’s weddin’. Maybe the two of you could have a delayed anniversary celebration the next weekend. One question. Since NYD is on Sunday this year do you get Moanday off as the holiday? Would that make the travel even if’n by vehicle a little better, as in y’all could leave on Sunday afternoon and have Moanday to recuperate?
OK, I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then I suppose I should purtify for deheatenization.
Happy Sunday Y’all!
ETA: First on Six Spidey!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Despite waking at 3, I managed to fall back to sleep till almost 7, so I know I was tahred. Now I’m up, critters have been tended to, and I’m dealing with a cough - can a flu shot give you a cough? grrrrrrr
Not sure what today’s plans are. I guess we’ll see as we go along.
My mom called me yesterday with tales of her cruise. She’s also planning her next one - to the South Pacific, if she can find one that her travelmate will take. There was one that stopped in several ports in New Zealand that they’d already visited, so her friend wasn’t interested - she just wants to go to new places. I’m pretty sure they didn’t see all of whatever cities they visited, but what can you do? I think Mom’s biggest problem is finding someone who can afford the trips and is willing to be away from home for 3 weeks or more. One friend refuses to spend any money outside of the US. I wonder what kind of car she drives and what brand TV she has??
Anyway, I’m up, the sun will be up soon, unless it is and I can’t tell for the trees. So Happy Sunday!
When Pearl Jam became classic rock.
Once I finish this cup of coffee I’m off on a waterfall quest. Specifically, this one. (One of these days I really need to clean up my Photobucket files. That’ll be a chore.)
Happy Sunday!
It’s a sunny 50 degrees outside, going up to 77 today. Then we have highs in the 80s for the next few days.
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. A foresee a nice relaxing day of cleaning, laundry ,and kitchen reorganization today. Plus football and hockey.
When you hear bands on the Classic Rock station that started after you graduated high school. It make me feel grrr
God morning! The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and the temperature is expected to be a balmy 75. I may spend some time on the lanai later.
Breakfast was a couple of Eggo waffles with a peach yogurt and some fruit. I think I’ll be good for a while. No coffee is forthcoming, sadly.
Friday: was driving home, almost there, and in a roundabout I was in the outside lane when someone tried to drive out of the inside lane through my car. He’s ok, I’m ok, but my car is in my insurer’s local depot waiting to be taken to the bodyshop on Monday. I was able to get approval to use a shop in the town where the relatives live, and a cab to Mom’s instead of one to my house. Called Jay and got him to drop me his car keys off on Saturday morning at Mom’s (hey, it’s my old car and he still hasn’t done the paperwork to put it under his name).
Saturday: drove Mom to Pamplona, where she had lunch with a friend and I had it with a bunch of people from the local Mensa group. The place where we ate is called Bambaluna, a back-transcription of an Arabic name for Pamplona. Their menus have the paragraph from which they got the name, I thought of keeping one (it’s printed on a sheet of paper). All I remember was that it started “a town in northern Al-Andalus, surrounded by valleys and mountains. Its inhabitants eat very badly, they are always hungry. Most of them speak Basque, which makes them incomprehensible.” Eh, not really… what we are is always ready to eat And we’re very easy to understand: when in doubt, feed us.
Today: went to 12:30 Mass with Mom. Switched phone off. We had a tapas lunch. Then I switched my phone on and there were messages from both Bros. Grandma had died at noon; if I hadn’t had my cellphone off, it would have rung during Mass.
I sure can’t complain that it wasn’t an intense weekend.
Making a bacon, egg, and smmoked cheddar burrito for brunch. Laundry has commenced.
Glad you’re alright after the accident. And sorry about your Grandma.
I thought you were Jewish.

Finishing downloading the video now. Had one camera set wrong.
Hi Oblivion! How’s the wife and kids?
For those in other states, your mileage may vary.
Speaking of which, the SSM couple we officiated for a couple months back are having their reception today; the last family members having been scraped off the ceiling and talked off various ledges – and i9n some cases possibly disowned. Not all Yankees are as accepting as the average Doper so it took a little time. But later today we PARTY!!!
