The Important Birthday MMP

Morning mumpers, I thought I’d start the MMP today because it’s a very important day in my little world. My doting parent is 82 today!

Happy birthday, mum!

She won’t see this, but I like the idea of a huge bunch of strangers knowing it’s her birthday

W00T! First!

To wish Mum

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Happy BooFaeMum Day!!

I’m alone in the office with nothing to do. I just checked the to-do list and there’s nothing for me. Until someone else shows up with something, I’m in thumb-twiddling mode. But the new boss is supposed to start this week, so yay! I hope. No clue who he is or anything, but he can’t be worse than the last guy, can he??

Happy Moanday!!

Happy Moonday!

Happy Birthday BooFaeMum!

I obviously survived my peanut butter incident. Sah-son said my face was red and puffy.
No more peanuts for me. I don’t like peanuts all that much anyway, but peanut butter is okay. It’ll be easier giving up peanuts than tomatoes.
Except for Reeses cups.

It’s a cold and cloudy 29 degrees outside, but it’s supposed to get up to 54.

I’m up a bit earlier than I wanted to be, but I have stuff to do so I may as well stay up and start doing it.

I’ve been in the office about an hour anna half. I have nothing to do. I asked one of the guys who used to pass work to me - he has nothing for me. The other engineer hasn’t shown up yet. I’ve checked all the sticky notes I’ve been given lately and everything has been done.
lalalalalalalalalala

BLURF Happy Boo Fae Mum Birthday!!!

Busy, Busy at irk. Being off a week it took an hour to check my email and clean out all the junk. I get a lot of junk.

I am glad to be back to irk. Can’t believe I am saying that. We are putting up the irk Christmas tree today!

Happy Birthday to Boofae’s Mum!

Sari, glad you are feeling better.

FCM, it’s between Thanksgiving and Christmas…that’s always a slow time for the USG (for ruble, not so much).

Back from T-day with my brother, sis-in-law, niece, both nephews, three basset hounds and one 200-lb English mastiff. Lot of good food and some time wandering about St. Louis, but that 430 mile drive each way is getting to me. Sunday I left my credit card at the Olive Garden in Clarksville, TN (remembered it 2 miles down the road and they had it at the front desk). Also chose a gas pump that hardly worked, ended up with a $0.40 charge on my card before I went to a pump that worked.

So back home just in time for a rainly day…oh joy.

**MetalMouse **- except I’m not working for the USG. The projects I’ve had dumped on me are for a Canadian company - we’re their prime subcontractor for building these trainers. The slowness is someone on vacation and me getting too much done too quickly last week. But fear not - I’ve been given some work to do. Back to it!

**Happy BooFaeMum Day!!
**

Also, a whole lotta blurfage

¡Feliz Día del Hada Madre!

(No confundirla con el hada madrina)

Today we’re working in the High Office, the rest of the week will be in the basement. I’m going to leave early because of the ongoing saga of the Things That Do Not Work In The Rental, which I haven’t wanted to bore you with but let’s just say it’s a good thing I can do wonders with a microwave oven.
Happy mother-fairy day!

(not to be confused with the fairy godmother)
Happy BooFae Mum Day!

Back at irk, but only a 4 day week. I’m taking Firday off to go to the Christkindlmarket.

Yesterday’s weather was harrible. 39 degrees and foggy, which meant damp which meant I was frozen. Today rain on and off and in the 50s but I don’t believe that.

Happy BooFaeMum day!

I am not thrilled to be back at work, but that’s just because I’m lazy. My illness has mostly disappeared, but my voice is doing so, as well, which makes phone work pretty difficult.

I had a hair appointment scheduled for this afternoon, but the salon called to tell me my poor stylist has strep. :frowning: So that’s rescheduled for Thursday, and I’ve been asked to work the late shift (till 5:00) tonight because co-worker has a sick puppy at home and wants to leave early to go check on her.

I don’t have a lot of work to do today, which suits me fine.

I finally got a chance to be productive - fixing some details on a bunch of drawings I did last week. Some were brain-farts, some were because of assumptions I made that were wrong. In any case, productivity has ensued.

I’m scooting out a few minutes early to be sure I get to my dental appointment in good time. I don’t need to get stuck behind a school bus to make me late. Bad enough that I’ll be getting home late. I’m thinking supper will be grab whatever.

But for now, it’s lunch and I can do some guilt-free surfing.

Happy birthday to your mum, boofae.

I work for the USG and this is NOT my slow time. TSPTB (The STUPID powers that be) decided that we must complete our five year business plans during the holiday period. Our “tool” was supposed open around the second week of October, but it didn’t open until last Wednesday. Our due date didn’t change of course. This isn’t a problem if one works for a small facility, but I work for one of the largest with many “children”, which all require their own business plans. These are complicated things, and not all that easy to do Anyway, long story short: Holidays are hectic enough, throw this crap in (no leave, etc) and they become even more hectic.

Add to that my newish officemate (been here since summer) and I am ready to pop off. This guy is bloviating, disgusting, useless piece of crap. Seriously, he farts all damn day and HE FUCKING SLEEPS ALL THE TIME! His farts have not only driven me out of the office, but the other people on my team who work in my area. He smells like dirty laundry most of the time too. He doesn’t know shit, but claims to know everything and have done everything bigger and better than everyone else. There is a loooooooong list of stupid, but I’ll leave it at that.

Anyway, hope the rest of you have a good Monday. Maybe mine will improve…right?

Happy birthday to BooFae’s mum!

I’m busy today getting some blogs set up and ready to go. It’s also the Big Day, when I get to say goodbye to the boot and go back to wearing two shoes, one on each foot. Yay!

**Taters **- I seem to recall at one point you were looking for another job - has that gone by the wayside? Your officemate sounds disgusting! My sympathies…

Howdy Y’all! I am back from Ye Olde Home Towne. ‘Twas a good trip and a busy one. Sis and I cooked most of our Turkey Day meal. We cooked Firday and also on Sattidy mornin’. My next to oldest brother got a smoked turkey from Roger’s BBQ a really good local place and it was nummy! Oldest Bro and SIL brought rolls, deviled aigs, and a cranberry-apple crisp to die for! I made the dressin’ and gravy and Sis did a lot of the veggies and made her very first ever from scratch ‘nanner puddin’ which was out of this world, along with a long time family favorite cherry delight which is a cookie like crust with a cream cheese whipped cream fillin’ and cherry pie fillin’ on top. All in all a good time was had by all.

HAPPY BOOFAE MOM BIRTHDAY!!!

I shall come back later with appropriate/inappropriate comments as needed. Right now I’s hongry and want nappage.

Happy birthday, BooFaeMum!

wet one, after coming back to Tennessee from northern Indiana one Thanksgiving, my niece and I agreed that if there was a hell, it was 37F and raining. :stuck_out_tongue:

swampy, cherry delight was something my mom used to make. I put the recipe in the family cookbook. Sooper dooper easy and tasty.

I heard sirens (lots of them) this morning when I was getting dressed and figured they were at the nearby city airport. Still, I left five minutes earlier than usual. I arrived at irk 2 minutes late (I’m usually 10 minutes early). There was a nasty accident between my drive on my two lane street, and the main drag. The only go-around for it would have taken me longer than waiting it out, according to the traffic app. A whole string of us were routed through a warehouse parking lot to get around it, but I was in first gear for 1.5 miles when I wasn’t standing still.

As most of month end is complete, today is slow.

Month end hell here.

I came up with about 20 pairs of shoes for Operation Flat foot but I let my clerk take a few and I changed my mind on two but still a nice haul for the Women’s shelter.

I should have released something was wrong when my sister Laura actually called me instead of texting.

She was in another car accident today. She was driving, and hit some black ice, causing the vehicle she was borrowing to roll over. She hit her head on the roof, and also injured one of her fingers. She’s going to the hospital for diagnosis.

She needs to stop driving.
