I’m only watching comedic news now. I spent the day looking at the preliminary flooding in Pirateville and now I has a sad.
At least Miss Antha’s being a sweet kitty. I think she’s more comfortable now that the temperature outside dropped–one of her nicknames if Fluffbutt for a reason.
My poor family may never get a home cooked meal at this rate! Friend’s power is on, and I just learned that my cousin is still staying at her home, with a tree on the roof, because she has no where to house her kitties. I can’t take the cats, so instead, we retrieved the generator, and took it to Cousin, along with a few supplies. Offered to bring her daughters home with us, but they’re staying with their granddad for the moment. But I’m pissed at my cousin - until this afternoon, we didn’t even know she was still staying at her ruined house!
Next project - trying to find someone who can house the critters.
School starts back tomorrow. Maybe “normal” is on the way!
**FCD **got home just before 8. He’s exhausted, as expected. I just downloaded the pics he took and emailed them to his work email. And on that note, I’m off to beddy-bye. I’ve been up since 4 and I’s tahred!!!
We made Hot and Sour soup tonight.
Mrs. Plant (v. 3.0) like it.
We will change next time:
Replace half the fish sauce with Silver Swan soy sauce
Add mushrooms, bamboo shoots and other vegetables.
Less citrus.
I added sesame oil and more brown sugar to mine, approaching the taste ofFu Lynnhot and sour soup, the best I have ever tasted.
FCM, see you tomorrow, glad Dad made it back, Cleveland-your place is a good long drive, hope his back feels OK.
Running my new dishwasher for the first time, we’ll see how it does in the cleaning department. Otherwise, soccer practice went well, managed to get through the afternoon without a nap so maybe I’ll sleep in to 7am tomorrow.
Home; dinner was something Mexican and quite tasty. I can’t be more specific because it was leftover bits of a couple different kits and we just sort of free-styled it from there.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 53 Amurrkin out and cloudyish with a predicted high of 83 and sunny for the day. My arms and shoulders are a little achy from yestiddy’s tree trimmin’ exercise. I think I shall not do any tree trimmin’ today to give ‘em a rest. Even though I want it all done, no need in makin’ myself all achy. So no real big plans for the day. I do need to go to the sto’ and will probably go to the liberry as well. Also wouldn’t hurt to do a load or two of laundry. Tonight is Evening Prayer and Healing Service over to the church house which I shall attend. Maybe that’s enough to keep me outta trouble for the day.
MOOOOOOM glad FCD made it home safe.
Peaches here’s hopin’ a place for the critters is found and your cousin can find suitable shelter while her house gets repaired. Yay for skool startin’ back and stuff slowly returnin’ to what passes for normal.
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants sustenance. Then I shall purtify so as I can venture out into the world.
I’ve always pictured Gordie as a kind of mellow beagle mix. I am sure that at some point, I have seen a picture and completely forgotten it.
Last night I did pretty much nothing. I should have cleaned and prepared for guests, but I sat my fat behind down on the couch and watched movies. I did assemble the “emergency bags” for the bride and groom for Saturday. Roomie is hypoglycemic and gets hangry pretty easily, so hers is full of protein bars. BoyRoomie can get a splinter from a metal table and doesn’t understand napkins, so his has a first aid kit and a Tide pen. There are other little things that neither will appreciate the buying of unless they need them, which I’m hoping they don’t. But when the wedding’s over, I will have tiny deodorants and travel toothbrushes and mini sewing kits galore.
