A whole new you!!

Sure thing, call me “1”.

As a guy the makeup isn’t an issue. As a balding guy the hair isn’t really an issue either (not much room to adjust a 1/4" buzz).

But a “clothing consultant”, why not? I’m sure that I could be much more stylin’.

#5–“Make-over”? Man no use these strange wordies.
MAN AFRAID OF STRANGE WORDIES!!

OOK-OOK-OOK!

1  I don’t care what anyone might infer about my self-esteem/self-image, I likes me some free stuff.

I would object to my wardrobe being thrown out or my hair being colored/highlighted, though. I like it black.

I’d absolutely do it! Take what you want and leave the rest. I know I need new hair, but I don’t have the guts to pay for a hideous mistake. If I could have *a little * say-so in what they do to me, I’d do it in a heartbeat.

Hi, I’m Maastricht and I love giving people make-overs. Any takers?

That said, I’d love a make-over. I’m happy with my hair, clothes and make-up (not so much with my weight though) so I wouldn’t give anyone carte blanche.

In the last year I’ve lost 25 pounds, gained it back, shaved my head, grown it back, and grown a beard. I don’t particularly identify with a certain ‘look’. Probably 1 or 2; I’m curious what they’d come up with.

“You’ll want to wear clothes that draw attention away from your chin and flatter your left elbow. Now, are you very attached to that specific nose?”

You should have said something when I was there.

Gee, I just don’t think anyone could improve on all this perfection…actually, I’m balking at the haircut. But I need new clothes! What to do, what to do…

1 - Sure, why not? Except I’m a Guy, so I don’t want makeup, smelly stuff, short hair, hair gel/mousse of any kind, no puffy sleeves, no Manpris, no jewelry, and none of that fey male model stuff!

1-absolutely. Heck, I’d almost be willing to do that What Not to Wear show, but I’m afraid they’d throw out my lovely skirts and new polka dot dress. Oh and tell me I need to wear blazers and kitten heels all the time.

Number 1 with absolutely no hesitation. Got a good wrinkle cream? I’m there! This foundation will make me look ten years younger? Slather it on! Whoo Hoo! Anything goes.

Free makeup, shoes & clothes? What’s there to think about?

VCNJ~

  1. Especially if it were free.
I’d even go with 1b - for a small fee.

Anyone who looks at me can tell that I don’t spend that much time on the whole fashion/style thing. Part of it is lack of interest, part is that I’ve never figured out what would work. (You know those clothing/fashion tips that say “you fit into one of four basic shapes”? well, I don’t. I also look awful in A-line skirts, that item that supposedly works for everyone.). I’d like to see if someone could figure out what might work. So far, no one ever has.

First, though, I would like to see the makeover consultant’s previous work. The US What Not To Wear people have no idea how to dress anyone who isn’t thin and/or hourglassy (so, then I’d go to a 3. I can look meh-to-bad all on my own.)

Then I could buy 10 variations of that and go back to being non-interested, but looking better.

  1. I’m always secretly hoping that someone I know will turn my name in to “What Not To Wear” or something. I have absolutely no confidence in my ability to fend for myself in this arena. If I look good, it’s mostly luck and the influence of those around me that I beg for help.
