It’s obligatory for Trump supporters to bring Hillary (or Bill) into every thread about Trump in an attempt to deflect attention.
His women are always stroking his ego, turning a bright smile in his direction as if on cue. Tiffany after his debate with Hillary keeps him at arm’s length but has to tell him “you did good” while stroking his arm, at the inauguration in that video there is Ivanka smiling brightly and raising her eyebrows up and down as if to placate him, then her smile turns upside down too. Melania giving it her all by keeping a wifely serene smile on her face, and we can’t hear him or read his lips but you can see the Donald’s jaw flapping before he turns around and the smile drops off his wife’s face as if he told her her pussy stank. The Donald has a self satisfied smirk on his face that says I just put Melania in her place and I feel good about it. The other young women around him are furtively cutting eyes at him, waiting to see where the viper will strike next. Very off kilter with the rest of the crowd.
I think it’s about time people started respecting her in her own right. She is an intelligent, beautiful woman. I am tired of seeing a headline almost everyday about how she messed up or people were in shock and it’s something so ridiculous. For example, supposedly the internet was set on fire because of a picture of her at the inauguration and, omg, she wasn’t smiling. Twitter was going crazy, she was frowning! No, I think not. I think she looked like she was contemplating what was going on. Her husband was about to be sworn in as leader of the free world. That’s some serious stuff. The media needs to start showing her the respect she deserves as First Lady. He’s free game because he chose to pursue the office and the liberal media will never let us think for a minute a conservative might bring some good ideas to the table. But, leave his wife alone.
Because they did a bang-up job of that on Michelle Obama for the past eight years, who was also an intelligent, beautiful woman and who didn’t sit beside her husband and question the legitimacy of the president’s holding of office.
And what did she ever do to deserve that respect? Should she be respected for marrying the most repugnant human being on the planet and shooting his offspring out of her vagina? There are women who have the babies of convicted serial killers, who deserve the same amount of “respect”.
She’s free game as well. She’s a public figure as is any First Lady. It kind of comes with the territory. And I’m not sure Donald qualifies as a true conservative.
He doesn’t qualify as a human being.
I don’t recall the press giving Michelle Obama a hard time. I’m not trying to start anything here or hijack the thread, I just don’t recall.
Wow, I can tell you feel very strongly about this. The thing is though, as far as their marriage, none of us have a real clue about it. It’s like anyone else’s marriage with the exception of your own, or in my case, my own, no one knows what goes on behind closed doors. We can speculate but since we aren’t privy to the details that’s all it is.
I knew I was going to take hits coming in here. I agree someone posted he’s not exactly a true conservative. I wouldn’t by any stretch of the imagination call him a liberal though . I just think Mrs. Trump deserves some respect that’s all I came to say.
Respect is earned, not deserved. He has done nothing worthy of respect in his whole life.
ETA: I take that back. He appears to have been potty-trained.
If only he felt that way.
There’s another thread here about this phrase. Apparently the rest of the free world doesn’t want him either, so he was just being sworn in as President of the United States. Which, obviously, was bad enough.
Are you serious? Is your memory really that short?
I did see that other post, I think it came up after I had used the phrase. I agree, I should have just said President of the US. Hindsight is always 20/20.
I am serious, I’m not saying it never happened, that would be ridiculous and unrealistic. From everything I know about her she seems like a good person.
What is “thousands of people did” based on, and are you referencing Americans? Also by “symbolically” do you mean actually killed themselves out of protest, or that they pretended to?
I ask because I’ve heard people use the word to mean both (even though I’m not sure it technically does have both meanings) and in this case seems like if you meant thousands REALLY (not just “symbolically”) committed suicide, it’d be big news.
She married a monster for money. Who cares?
Sure but it’s not like she planned on it. The decision to run was not hers. OTOH lots of jobs from POTUS on down involve having your family have to bear with decisions and burdens *they *did not ask for. So she has to take the heat, and we have to bear in mind she did not originally enlist for this.
In the end, my adversary is not Melania, it’s Donald. So my antagonism must focus on him and not drift towards his spouse or his home life.
