Don’t they actually show futurama on the west coast? Or is that just delusional?
And what’s up with King of the Hill? Shouldn’t that be banished to Tuesdays or something to make it go away?

If you could read, Spoo, you’d see that the OP agreed with what I said and found my post supportive. Why don’t you crawl back to your thread about how you are so tired of people being a dick during the holidays, and hit yourself in the head with a Clue by Four™ until the irony sinks past your incredibly thick skull.
I remember Family Guy.
Oh yeah. I agree: the snowstorm episode was great.
“Bart…if there’s one thing i’m good at, its pretending things didn’t happen.”
I’m also extremely pissed and enraged and all, that they’re showing another rerun on Sunday of Simpsons. (Well ok not THAT upset, but this is the Pit so i’m supposed to look unreasonably angry.) I’ve seen Behind the Laughter 2x before. They’re showing a new episode next week…why not show it THIS week instead? Sigh. [high pitched taunting voice]Is it a strain on your little wrists, animators?[/high pitched taunting voice]
I would never say that in real life…
I’m sure you can find people who agreed with Timothy McVeigh, too. Big fucking deal.
MY POINT (which you STILL can’t grasp):
OP said, basically, “Futurama better than Simpsons”. I took this as an implied question of “Why do they show more Simpsons than Futurama?” You’ve yet to call that notion into question.
I pointed out that the Simpsons has A: been on for a lot longer, B: has more re-run episodes to show, and C: has practically single-handedly saved the Fox Network. Futurama, by contrast, is a near-spinoff of the Simpsons (not a direct spin-off, but created by the same guy and utilizes the same basic, bizarre humor). As such, it makes more sense for the Simpsons to be shown more than Futurama.
The OP displays a heckuva lot of impatience in terms of getting his entertainment. I’ve seen the animation quality in Futurama. That sort of animation takes a long time to put together.
Also, I’d like to point out that the Futurama season began in March of 1999… 'bout a year and a half ago. As of November 28th, 2000, there were 26 episodes of Futurama in circulation. With the new episodes that I assume have been shown through December, that would put the total episode count at just over 30.
Hmm… 30 episodes, compared to the hundreds of episodes of the Simpsons. And you wonder why they don’t show Futurama a whole lot?
(source: http://www.nnyc.com/guide.shtml and http://www.nnyc.com/upcomming.shtml Admittedly, the database may not be entirely complete, but I doubt that another fifty episodes were released in the span of a few weeks)
Um…dude. I’m not a he.
Okay and other than that, I am showing impatience…where else can I show it?
Look, its not JUST that they’re not putting out episodes that’s pissing me off. Its that they always manage to put it in the timeslot that gets run over by football or baseball or a movie about a graututiously violent Santa Claus. I don’t think it would kill FOX to at least ocasionally show an episode. They have shown two from the new season. (It is now December now. Nearly January.) Is it REALLY asking so much for them to show a little more? I don’t think this is an unreasonable request.
I want my Bender…
Gotcha. Although, in my opinion, a lot of the posters here are gender-confused
Ah, yes, I never disagreed with THAT. But the second you start messin’ with my Simpsons, THEN the gloves come off!! Bwah!!
No I too adore the Simpsons.
Did you have the same dream with the backward talking girl too?
Uh I’ll drive.
Anyway. I guess I’ve cooled off some. Hanging out at the SDMB Male Review has really made me feel better.
(Yes that was a plug for you, Miss B. Haven!)
Nor would I choose to grasp the point on your head.
What you say is far from relevant, but that isn’t too surprising as I’ve gone over your other posts and threads and found them to be as substance free as this burbling you are doing in this thread.
And if you are so zealous about the Simpsons and find a thread about Futurama so threatening that you have to be such an incredible dick about it, go start a thread about the Simpsons.
And yet, you STILL can’t even respond to the fucking point of a person’s post. If my posts are substance-free, yours much create an aura of negative substance. Your very presence is bringing the overall intelligence of the SDMB down several notches.
And you’re a fucking hypocrite, t’boot. Who the fuck started this shit about “know what you’re talking about”?!? I’ll give you a hint, you over-agressive unwashed choad… his name started with an “H”, and ended with “astur”.
I’ll go over everything…
You first said “There are PLENTY of episodes to show.” I provided evidence that there are less than 30. Compared to other shows, that’s nothing.
You also said that the show is in its’ third season. This is technically true, but a season traditionally lasts a year. It’s first season lasted only a few months. The show has been on the air for about a year and a half, not too far off from my original assertion of “a single season”.
I’ve already wasted too much time trying to drive a point into the six inches of bone that surrounds your Serlin-testicle of a brain, but I hate leaving a post unanswered. Now, perhaps you’d like to actually ADDRESS A FUCKING POINT of what I said, rather than spout your “Ha, I can make semi-creative insults, even thought I haven’t an intelligent thought in my body” bullshit?
