Teaser. No info.

I was ready to roll my eyes dismissively. I had my mouse poised over the little red “X” in the corner of my browser tab, prepared to kill the window at the first sign of deviation from the Awesome that was (and still is) Deus Ex 1. I was braced to forget even the tiniest mention of a 3rd installment, for fear of contaminating my memories of the serendipity of Warren Spector’s masterful brainchild.

And then I heard it. That very distinct chord. And the one that followed. And I allowed myself a smirk. And that was enough.

[So yeah, absolutely no details whatsoever, not even a glimpse. But damn, they sure knew what they were doing when they made that teaser!]

Yeah, they knew what they were doing: provide nothing and get suckers to talk about how great it will be based on nothing. It’s SOP in the gaming industry, after all.

I have zero hope for the game. I couldn’t even finish Invisible War because of how terrible it was and I doubt anything significant is going to change back. It’ll be another FPS designed for consoles.

If there is a 5% chance that it can live up to the first Deus Ex, then dammit, I have to take the chance and buy it.
