I believe that women should (and do) have the right to rid their body of unwanted fetal tissue.
As an Ex-Priest this belief goes against that of the Holy Sea but that’s why I’m an ex-Priest.
How many of you are like me, have an open-mind, and believe a woman has the right to control her own body ?

Xpriest, this debate has been done. I don’t think you’re going to get another one here. Abortion is one of those hot topics where you are not going to change anyone’s mind, no matter what you say.

The topic of abortion has been discussed on this board at tremendous length, from every possible angle, for a long time. If you’ll check out the forum Great Debates you’ll find threads right now addressing aspects of abortion. That’s a good jumping-off point to leap in for a discussion, and to offer your views.
Your OP (original post) is awfully general for the topic, unless you’re simply polling to see what the balance of opinion is in general here. Then you’d be better advised to post this in In My Humble Opinion, although the passions aroused by this subject might make it an inappropriate topic there.
The Pit isn’t a good place to start a thread like this. This is the forum for raising issues about the board’s administration, or ranting about real-life issues, or flaming another Doper (flaming is verboten in the other forums).
This was posted in the wrong forum. XPriest, there are plenty of abortion threads in the Great Debates forum for you to participate in. Next time, please read the forum descriptions before opening a new thread.
