About fucking time. The Sandy Hook families are suing Alex Jones for defamation

Joe Rogan’s still there for you.

If his worst crime was selling bullshit nutritional supplements, I would probably have never heard of him but what he did to those families is vile.

Yep, he deserves a special place in Hell. As do his acolytes.

And Joe Mercola. And Mike Adams. And others who are not quite as vile as Alex Jones, but in the ballpark.

Well, maybe Mike Adams qualifies as being as bad as Alex Jones in more than one respect. His website has posted numerous stories claiming false flag events (note that Natural News deleted this particular story but left traces behind) and called for the execution of scientists.

Rendering him with his clothes on would yield a non-useful product, though. Well, even less useful, anyway.

Note that the plan to shut down Infowars is the result of one family’s legal order. Other families get nothing in this action.

“Wednesday afternoon, Infowars, the equipment, InfoWars.com, InfoWarsStore.com, and a whole bunch of other stuff, is at a federal bankruptcy auction, from the fake judgements and the rigged trials where I was found guilty beforehand, and they had literal show trials like out of the Soviet Union or Nazi Germany,” Jones said in a video posted to X (formerly Twitter).

And as he calls it a “fake” judgement and a “rigged” trial and complains that he was found guilty beforehand, let’s never forget that he was the one that tried to rig the case by lying about the contents of his phone.

Maybe Alex and Rudy can find a cheap studio apartment somewhere. If they combine their finances.

Aw, poor baby. As they say “F that guy.”

The mind veritably reels…

The Onion plans to shutter Jones’ InfoWars and rebuild the website featuring well-known internet humor writers and content creators, according to a person with knowledge of the sale.

Good try universe, but the karmic balance is still all out of whack.

I’ll still take it though.

That’s… what’s the opposite of “ironic”?

That’s what that is.

This is kind of fun: after all these years of dumb politicians believing some Onion gag is real, how easily am I supposed to believe this is real? I’m going with “real”, but it’s not like there’s no red flag here.

Sure, though CNN and other MSM are reporting it.

The Guardian reports about the sale too:

The purchase includes the acquisition of Jones’s company’s intellectual property, such as its website, customer lists, inventory and certain social media accounts, and the production equipment, according to CNN. The amount of the bid has not been disclosed.

A list of Jones’ clients in the hands of the Onion, legally purchased, is the funniest thing I have read today. The possibilities are… well, we’ll see. It is the Onion, after all. :onion:

hopefully they paid about 1% of what he owes so far

According to the latest news he has somehow managed to get the auction suspended. Claims the bidding process was not transparent–or something. Just like Trump will never go to jail, I predict the plaintiffs will never see a cent of Jones’s money.

Onion loses this round. My guess is Elon Musk buys it for an insane amount of money and hands it right back to Alex Jones. I guess that would help the plaintiffs, but it wouldn’t stop the non-stop BS from Jones.

The Goldmans collected about $132,000 of a $33 million+ civil judgment against O.J. Simpson awarded about 3 decades ago. And the executor of Simpson’s estate has said he’ll try to prevent the Goldmans from getting any more.

Jones will try to string this out as long as he can.
