There is a certain website where people try to meet. I won’t say what it is, but that is neither here nor there. I occasionally go there for laughs. The following post, which I have edited considerably, provided me with the biggest laugh I’ve had in quite a while:

I’ve been wondering, when someone says “'Sup” to a bunch of people he’s never even met, does he really want us to enumerate what is up? And why would I want to tell a complete stranger anyway? Wouldn’t it be more polite to tell us what’s up with him first, then ask 'sup?

Has Miss Manners covered this one, by any chance?

Sup just means “what are you doing?” or “What are you up to?”

All you need to say to answer the question is run over your day or even just the past 10 minutes. Or you can “nmu”. :wink:
