That was the joke, wasn’t it? Giving a speech without access to writers?
That music choice for Anatomy of a Fall was an excellent choice, as it made me very anxious via flashback to the movie.

If Bradley Cooper goes 0-3 tonight, he will have 12 nominations without a win. The leader is Greg P. Russell with 16 nominations with no wins (his win on his 17th nomination was rescinded).
It wasn’t just that one. And that one won’t be the last I suspect.
Poor Things for Makeup & Hairstyling (a slight upset over Maestro). Keep an eye on these “downballot” categories, because the entire Academy votes (they don’t all get to nominate) and early momentum from the actor’s can show up here.
Nice! Though Frolic is more my style.
That surprised me a little but not fussed about it.
The next one (set design?) seems one “Poor Things” definitely deserved.
ETA: Poor Things also got costume design. Ok with that one too.
I got confused and messed up- Poor Things won Production Design (where it was favored) but just won Costume Design, where it was a slight underdog (so my mistake became correct!).
I like the approach of having two similar categories announced by the same presenters, speeds things up.
Okay the costume design gag with John Cena was pretty good.
Still think David Krumholtz should have gotten the Oppenheimer supporting actor nom
Very disappointing win for BSA
That would be worth it if he won & we got the resulting speech. That would have been something.
BSA?
Best Supporting Actor
Anybody know what the prominent red lapel pins a lot of people are wearing are representing?
Downey’s part was bigger, and everyone loves a well played villain. Krumholtz was much praised (and I think he is underestimated as far as his value to the films I’ve seen him in), but the only way he was making it into this list of nominees is if there were two from Oppenheimer.

I found this:

Billie Eilish, Finneas O'Connell, Ramy Youssef and Ava DuVernay are among the celebrities showing their support for an end of fighting and humanitarian aid to Palestinian civilians in Gaza.
Yeah, I wasn’t thinking it was warranted over RDJ, but Krumholtz’s Twitter account was wildly entertaining before he deleted it, and I suspect his speech would have been something.
Just found it on Vulture as well. Figured that it had to be an Israel/Palestine thing.

There’s tons of protesters out on Hwood Blvd right now.
