You might still be able to watch The Holdovers on Peacock. I don’t pay for the service (though Xfinity is my cable provider and I may get a free low-end subscription?) and have watched several movies there. They start with several minutes of commercials and then run uninterrupted.
I’ll never understand this. Everyone is leaving money on the table. Now is the time to cash in.
Instead they will all mess around asking for too much or other things and it never happens. And then none of them make money and none of us get to see the movie (I did in the theaters…I mean for those at home).
If there is sense to be made of this I don’t see it.
“I’m Just Ken” was fucking magnificent.

He got screwed out of his award, but Ryan Gosling had the best Oscar moment of the night.
I can hardly imagine a film more worthy of “Best Cinematography” than Christopher Nolan’s IMAX blockbuster!
I’m not watching the Oscars but getting updates from CNN. Happy to see that Poor Things is on a roll with three Oscars so far. Oppenheimer is doing well, too, but it’s a favourite in so many categories.
No surprise that Zone of Interest won Best International Feature and also Best Sound – sound was such a crucial element of that film.
I’m impressed they got those other Kens to show up. They are all very famous dudes!

I’m not disappointed at all. I walked out of the theater feeling he was deserved lock. Krumholtz was good but his character was pretty much one note. Downey’s character was close to a leading role and was a journey.

So far there hasn’t been any big upsets indicating potential momentum for Poor Things or Oppenheimer for the Big Four. Score had Oppenheimer as the heavy favorite, so no surprise there.
I am faaaar from a person who comments on people’s dress but…Ariana Grande’s dress was a bit much.
