According to this stupid color acuity test on FB...

My score is 54, but my reading comprehension score is zero, apparently. Can anybody tell me if that is a good or a bad score?

I got zero. When I had them arranged correctly I’d question whether it was right but moving one to an incorrect position made it look obviously wrong.

I got a 2, which at first I didn’t understand that the lower the score the better. I actually really enjoyed doing that exercise(once I figured out what I was supposed to do).

I got a 2. Yippee! (I recently had cataract surgery and new clear lenses put into my 64-year old eyeballs.)

0 on a calibrated monitor, 4 on an uncalibrated one (both Macs).

I got a 0. For me, unfocusing my eyes makes the misplaced tiles leap out. Um, not physically.

I don’t take these tests because I can’t pass them. I also refuse to take the Ishihara at the eye doctor, which annoys the technician to no end. I actually had to be mildly rude to her the last time when she kept insisting that I “just try it”. Sweetie, at age 70, I am fully aware of my color deficiencies and really don’t need some twit pointing it out to me yet again.

End rant.

I must be getting better with age. I got a zero when I retook it today.

I remember this thread from before!

I took it today and got a 4. I seem to remember that’s about what I got before. I’m a little sketchy in the blue-green range, it seems.

It was a trap to make you see red.

Zero, and I have difficulty matching colors in water tests.

18

Although I’m not sure I fully understood the instructions. I kinda just sorted them to one side or another. Am I supposed to put them in an exact order from the one side to the other? (I think I did pretty good for a colorblind guy)

You are supposed to sort them along the color spectrum using the first and last tiles in each row as reference points. It is probably really difficult if you have any colorblindness at all because some of the differences are tiny between adjacent tiles.

Even older now (me, not the monitor) but…back to 0!

Aha. Thank you. I suspected that was probably what you were supposed to do, but I could really only discern 2 very subtly different colors in each row.

For what it’s worth, I just hit “score my test” several times without doing anything, refreshing the page each time. Scores were between 76 and 82.

I just left them all alone, and scored it and got 82… Then I moved one tile at random and got a 90. So, what do you have to do to get a 1602? How come nobody here has gotten a score of -1, and who gets -30,000?

Got a perfect 0 this time. I’ve done it before and didn’t do as well. They say lighting makes a difference.

I scored a 2.

This is very disappointing because it means I am not being truthful when I tell my wife I can’t tell the difference between her choices of lipstick.

4 on a standard desktop LCD
0 on an expensive research grade calibrated LCD

This is a truncated version of a standard FM-100 test. The regular one is often done with physical chips.

I realize this is a zombie, but the people who have single chips on a different line are having browser issues.

I was having snapping issues with some of the chips.

I’ve never had an OD do Ishihara. Though the reason why it might help is to identify age or disease related tritanopic effects (and I doubt your lifelong deficiency is related).
