This is a thread to post accurate descriptions of things that don’t make it immediately obvious what you’re describing. The game, of course, is to figure out what the other players are describing.
It’s made from rock. We inscribe complex symbols into it, more complex than any current written language, and then it is ready to accept commands. It only speaks a simple language but it will obey all commands exactly and absolutely, occasionally to the dismay of people, who don’t realize when they’re being ambiguous or contradicting themselves: It might be difficult to figure out the full ramifications of your commands without issuing them and watching it all play out. All of their commands partake of both gematriya and standard mathematics, albeit somewhat obscure branches of the latter. Their underlying philosophy partakes of animism, as well: Knowing their true names can, in some circumstances, give you the ability to control them at a distance.
This can be described as a part-time mini-Ninja, a household alarm, a stalker, very playful, fun to watch, hilarious at times, sweet, comforting, annoying, quick, energetic, athletic, smart.
Yes. They’re a special case in that they symbolize what they are: The level and the meta-level are unified. It’s a working hieronymus machine.
Another example is that ‘1’ is the numeral 1 in both name and physical fact. The concept of one-ness is another level again — and it isn’t a trivial step — but the numeral is self-evaluating.
Long and slender. Delicate. Easy to crush. Its skelton is as thin as tissue. But when set on fire, it becomes a monster of death, killing and crippling those who suck from it, leaving in its wake nothing but irritation and waste.
