Active shooter situation underway in Austin, at least three dead and the gunman still on the loose.
It was a former Travis County Sheriff’s deputy. Last summer, he’d been arrested for sexual misconduct upon his sixteen-year-old daughter. His wife filed for divorce. He maintained the right to supervised visits with his six-year-old son. He was ordered to surrender all of his firearms. Sunday, they were scheduled to have a supervised visit when he opened fire on all the adults in the car and killed them: his ex-wife, his daughter, and his daughter’s boyfriend. He did not physically harm his six-year-old son, though I cannot imagine how this would not affect him the rest of his life.
