Recently watch season 2 of Boston Legal, he had killed his mother in the show with a frying pan then later was killed by Betty White. With a frying pan.
Ugh. Crappy news. He was having quite a bit of success on tiktok of all places.
Well that’s sad news. I have really enjoyed his TikTok videos of late and always found him a delight in his television appearances. I saw a recent clip where a reporter from TMZ was talking to him about the condo he had just purchased in West Hollywood and how excited he was to finally be a home owner at the age of 67.
Ugh.
I just wonder how much of Call Me Kat’s fan base was there to watch him. Maybe it’s not 8 Simple Rules (for Dating My Teenage Daughter) without John Ritter-level, but it’s definitely going to have an effect on the show - and it is in its third season, which usually means a fourth season pickup from somebody to have enough episodes for syndication.
Bummer. I don’t watch Call Me Kat, but on the occasions I’ve caught a few minutes of it, he was generally the only part of it that made me smile.
He was one of those guys that I’ve seen in a bunch of things but didn’t know his name. Always liked him though.
so sad. he had a way with story telling.
I loved him on Reba.
Same here. I actually don’t watch CMK or W&G, and don’t have strong memories of Reba, but somehow it popped into my head that it was the funny little guy with the creepy voice, and googling proved me right.
He also had a recurring role on Designing Women
I haven’t seen any of the new season’s episodes of Call Me Kat, was he still on that show? If so, what will they do without him?
I loved him on Will & Grace. His verbal sparring matches with Karen were hilarious.
He was like a male Zelda Rubenstein!
Yep! (I knew who that was without knowing her name, too.)
Yes, he is. He’s the funniest one on that show and really held it together.
I don’t know what the show will do with out him.
Sad to see him go. Too bad his last part was on one of the worst shows in history.
He recently did a lovely guest spot on Discovery+'s Trixie Motel (drag queen and partner glam-o-vate a dilapidated Palm Springs motel), where he had to help choose a new lifeguard by pretending to drown in the pool and get saved by all the beefcakes. It was positively delightful!
I’m glad he got the level of fame that he wanted, and reached across generations to make people smile. From what I hear, he really took off during Covid. People young and old loved him!
It’s so sad. He seemed like a genuinely good person. Just last week, my cousin’s partner had him do a Cameo for his birthday and you could tell that he really enjoyed doing it.
My husband said he played a human who got superpowers on Lois and Clark. He billed himself as “Strange visitor from the heart of Dixie.”
I’m so sorry he is gone. I followed him in IG and he was such a sweetie with b1tchy moments. I loved when he sang the old timey hymns.
