Actors who've played characters who'd never get along with one another

:smack: You are correct sir! Wrong thread! Though Lily would tap Willow.

Rose Nylund might get along with Sue Ann Nivens, but I don’t think Sue Ann would have liked Rose. JR Ewing would not have like Tony Nelson.

There’s quite a few Youtube videos consisting of mashups of the two (tho they usually have Batman/Wayne as the psycho, not fighting him, alas).

Heath Ledger’s Joker would probably be despised and feared by all of his other roles

Meryl Streep’s *Miranda in The Devil Wears Prada *wouldn’t have much use for Julia in Defending Your Life. In fact, I can’t see Miranda getting along with much of anyone.

I think not. Neither of them is sufficiently narcissistic in that way. In addition, Willow is going to assume that Lily either (a) a vampiric version of herself and thus not to be trusted, or (b) a human version of herself, and thus not to be trusted.

I’m not sure that Barty Crouch Jr. would have much affection for The Doctor.

But it’s a question that should be asked, and answered, at every opportunity.

You underestimate the ability of a good wine to smooth over any rough dining rough patches.

Greg House would despise Bertie Wooster

Navy SP “Bad Ass” Buddusky (Last Detail) wouldn’t have much use for Marine Col. Nathan R. Jessep (A Few Good Men).

Jed Bartlett would be appalled by Greg Stillson.

**Frank **played by **Henry Fonda **in Once Upon a Time in the West, and almost every other character he played, but I’ll go with ***Gil Carter ***from The Oxbow Incident.

Superman played by George Reeves, and his uncredited role of ***Jesse James ***in The Kansan.

Mr. Hand played by the incomparable **Ray Walston **in Fast Times at Ridgemont High, and Luther Billis from South Pacific.

There must be a lot of cases for prolific actors.

“Mr. Finch, may I present Dr. Mengle?”

“No, I surely do not care to shake hands with this gentleman.”

Capt. Jack Sparrow and Edward Scissorhands?

They wouldn’t get into a fistfight, though, as specified in the OP. Edward has no fists, after all. And anyway Jack is far too pragmatic to battle Edward except by shooting him.

In theory, assuming he maintains his powers in a relatively low-magic realm, he oughta be able to destroy the Ring.

Back on topic, I nominate Katey Sagal. I think Gemma Teller Morrow would despise Peggy Bundy.

Ah, I didn’t notice the fistfight - in which case ignore my Gandhi suggestion.

If it’s a fistfight, then the best example given so far is House and Wooster; most of the other bad guys suggested wouldn’t bother with a fistfight.

Robert Carlye’s Begbie (from Trainspotting) would get into a fistfight with a lamp-post if he thought it was looking at his bird, and his character Gaz in the Full Monty would attempt to put up a fight.

I’m pretty sure we can close this thread now!

And adding Leela from Futurama would make a three way ring of disgust, like The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.
