“Adam Schiff is a liar” and ‘Carter Page is an innocent Saint’ are two popular lies, among many, being pushed by various right wing trolls. They also happen to be OPs. I’m not sure how it’s possible to have that conversation “around” the trolling bullshitter who posted them without responding to him, in context, by taking on the lie upon lie in a methodical and direct fashion.
I get what you’re saying. Some of the statements made by EasyPhil are so obviously dishonest that they beggar reality. But it’s important to continue to rhetorically throw them in his face to ensure he does not feel emboldened in continuing to repeat them without challenge. At no time must he have the confidence to repeat, his Trumpian lie, “Hoax!”, without the expectation that he will be met with resistance and earned ridicule.
IMO, that’s all the OP and the rest of the similar scum-sucking ilk want. It doesn’t stop them; it emboldens them. Obviously, we want to approach it differently. I’d rather have the facts laid out, while ignoring the impetus for laying out the facts. Asshole posts “Carter Page is an innocent saint”. Responders post “here is why Carter Page is not an innocent saint” while not mentioning asshole.
It’s not that I don’t like trainwrecks. I started reading this thread for the entertainment value, and mixed in with the entertainment were salient facts that anyone who wants to know the truth can glean. That’s a good thing. But now there are two multiple page threads on this, and both of them are just asshole tweaking other posters again and again into responding and sitting in his/her proverbial (or maybe literal) basement fapping to the responses.

Stop with the straw man bullshit. Whether Carter Page was a saint or not is irrelevant. The FISA process was abused so much that one of the judges on the FISC made a public statement about it. Every American should be worried about secret courts that can be gamed by the FBI. Secret fucking courts that used lies and omissions to obtain a warrant to spy on a Presidential campaign. It doesn’t get any worse than that, oh wait. it does when the media is used as a propaganda tool to sell the narative. A FISA warrant allows you to spy retroactively and you can use two hops meaning Carter Page, any one that Carter Page communicated with and anyone that communicated with anyone that communicated with Carter Page.
