Add a Sentence Game

Basically for this you add a sentence to continue on a story.

It was a rainy spring day in Konigsberg as Karl von Rittner was packing his belongings.

He loaded his suitcase with the usual: three pairs of underwear, two pairs of socks, a toothbrush, his nitroglycerin tablets, and his pet iguana, Max.

Since he was a banker, he did not put on his Mac.

His pet armadillo, Mittens, looked up sadly, knowing his beloved master would not be back for several days.

What Mittens did not know, what nobody could have known, was that he would not return.

Karl gently laid h-s bag on the back seat of the taxi.

“The usual place?”, asked the taxi driver knowingly.

“No, someplace I’ve never been before”, Karl replied cryptically.

“OK then,” said the taxi driver as he sped Karl off to the Hamburg docks, “Pier 27-C it is.”

“What do I owe you?” Karl asked.

“Keep your money,” the cabby replied, “I have a feeling you’re gonna need every penny where you’re going.”

A body floated by; from the long, blonde hair it must have been female, but it was hard to tell now.

Meanwhile, our poor protagonist Karl was watching a lovely rainbow over to the left, and missed the aforementioned* but highly important* body floating by the docks.

Sudenly, there was a scream from down river. “Ahhhhhhhh!”

Karl’s eyes narrowed and his face began to scowl as he slowly turned in the direction the scream came from.

At that moment, an excited Max scampered down towards the scene.

Having reached the body, Max dons his tiny iguana-sized Deerstalker hat, clutches a tiny pipe between his teeth, and peers into the gaping hole in the back of the dead woman’s head.

The End.

“That’s an odd thing for a note shoved inside the gaping hole of a dead woman’s head to read.” thought Karl.

“And where did my Iguana get such a tiny pipe?”
