When the news of the Time Square attempted car bombing broke out all those liberal morons, those incessant nagging heads on MSNBC and the Internet immediatly leaned to the conclusion it was the Tea Party and other right wingers. Even Mayor Bloomberg did this. Funny how they ignore that the vast majority of terrorist attacks and attempted attacks on American soil or on Americans were by Islamist terrorists not by right wing fanatics nor left wing fanatics for that matter. Rush Limbaugh didn’t blame hippies when the 1993 WTC bombings happened for God’s sake.
It’s not a cite; it’s an example. It offers virtually no support for the broad sweeping conclusions you draw in the OP.
You are, as per usual, a fucking idiot. Why don’t you go back to setting up “Jesus is the greatest guy in history” polls? That’s about the limit of your capabilities.
Understand that I am a very stupid man and not at all a brilliant genius such as yourself. I have read the internet Guardian-talking you have cited. Please explain to me how it is an example of the phenomenon – the shit, if you will – that you did not make up.
Ah, Rand Rover. Hello. Please attempt to beat Curtis LeMay to demonstrating how
Of course, you’ll have quite an advantage in this little derby, because in addition to being an internet supergenius, you also see the future, which Curtis I think has yet to demonstrate. One can only hope that the combined demonstration-of-shit-not-being-at-all-made-up brainpower of the two of you in one thread won’t result in the spontaneous combustion of the entire internet, or worse, the fusion of all our brains into a Mung Bean-Roark supergenius singularity.
So, before anyone had a clear idea who had carried out the attempted Times Square bombing, instead of rushing to judgement that the bomber might have been a nutbag of just about any persuasion, the press should have just rushed to judgement that he was a jihadist, have I got that about right?
Curtis, this is what we in the Pit call “assuming you meant something you didn’t say and maybe didn’t even mean.” I told you they’d give you the business.
He specifically named MSNBC I’m sure he has a cite for that accusation. It wouldn’t be like Curtis to unfairly disparage a ‘liberal’ news organization…
You’re posting an article about how we shouldn’t jump to conclusions about the identity of the bomber as evidence that people jumped to conclusions? I’m not even denying that some people do jump to such conclusions, but you found a pretty crummy article to use as an example.
I never heard anything but the South Park thing before they knew who did it. Tea-partiers?
Damn. I’m part of the Internet. I hadn’t even heard. And I read all those Radical Left-Wing Moron Liberal Indoctrination sites!
I don’t get your link having a thing to do with your comments, OP. One mention, in the headline, of “Tea Partier” but you should try reading for context next time. It was referring to the fact that you can’t profile these terrorists as easily as you’d think because all kinds of people are getting in on the action these days. That’s all the article was about!
Not that it wouldn’t surprise me. I’ve seen some silliness on the Liberal side. I won’t lie.
But everybody has their thing don’t they? Their opinion. Rush Limbaugh may not have blamed liberals for the first bombing but he sure as Hell blamed them for 9/11. Best not argue with that one because I’m not even close to well-read but I remember that one.
He named three possibilites for the perpetrators and says the latter two are more likely then a Muslim attacker. Then he writes multiple paragraphs about how we shouldn’t jump to conclusions. Thats not what Curtis claimed the article said. Its close to the opposite of what Curtis said. Again, I’m not even necessarily disagreeing with the OP’s thesis, I just think he found a piss-poor example of it. And he’s certainly wrong that its a purely leftist activity.
