Subtitled: The hawthorne Aussie band appreciation thread. Fire up the iPod, get your CD’s off the shelf or start up your computer’s jukebox program and let’s get to voting.
First: The Who’s, What’s, Where’s & Why’s of the Additional Poll
In an attempt to squeeze as many bands in the shortest amount of time possible, as an occasional feature, The Tuesday 6 @ 6 Polls include an Additional poll. This Church poll, like the featured Cure, the Cult headliner poll thread and the Chemical Brothers supplemental polls will be closed and tallied 7 days from today, Tuesday September 28, 2004 at or about 6PM EDT. Results from all the polls will be posted a few minutes later on that same day in Week #42’s featured Ray Charles 6 @ 6 Poll.
Second: The Chicago Listener SDMB(ill)Board Chestnut Tracks**
So far, through 74 artists, the results have been both surprising and enlightening. I’ve modified some of my listening habits based on other people’s selections and find some good stuff I’ve either forgotten about or missed are those tracks that received a few votes in past weekly polls. It’s in that spirit we offer you the SDMB chestnut charts.

I didn’t include the year or album from which the track came from because of thread limits. I’ll try to post the whole spreadsheet up on doteasy.com and link it sometime in the future.
Third: The Poll & How it Works
It’s simple enough, post your 6 favorite songs by the artist. Personal observations, opinions, liner notes, comments and the like are always welcome but are in no means required. If you specify Live version, it will be noted, but tallied together with the studio version of the same title. My only request of you is to please try to be as accurate as possible when naming your favorite tracks.
Lastly: The Supplemental Poll Artist of the Week
I know what you’re thinking, ‘Shut the hell up and get on with the poll already damnit!’ So, without further ado: hawthorne’s Church poll.
