Adobe Acrobat Question

I have the free version. Can I set it up so that it displays all the pages of a document in a single column instead of (what seems to be ) the standard where the pages are lined up in 2 columns? The latter format makes it a royal PItA to read a document at 100% magnification-- jumping back and forth across the screen and scrolling up to get to the next pave, instead of just scrolling down.

Ack!! Wrong forum. I’ll ask a mod to move.

I have 6.0, so your version might have things laid out differently, but try View->Page Layout->Continuous. It sounds like you have it set to Facing.

Moved from GD to GQ.

I have a “page style” not a “page layout” option, but it’s grayed out, and so isn’t available to me.

I’ve got the full version of Acrobat, but it’s such a basic function it really ought to be at least very similar. Do you have any buttons on the toolbar that look like these? They might be in the bottom-right corner if not on the toolbar. If so, the left-hand one should do what you want. To set this as the default behaviour, go Edit > Preferences > Page Display and there should be a default view setting where you can select “Single Page Continuous”.

That was it! Thanks.

The edit tab doesn’t have a preferences setting on my version. No worries. Now I know how to get it the way I want it.
