Safari is opening pdfs in two -page format - I want one page

all of a sudden, Safari has been opening pdfs in two-page spreads, rather than one page spreads. I’ve checked my copy of Adobe, and it’s set to open pdfs in one-page spreads, so I think it must be something in Safari, but I’ve not been able to find it.

anyone have any idea?

The next time you open a PDF in Safari, right-click (or control-click, if you’re old-school) in the window. This will bring up a menu that allows you to select whether you want to view the PDF in one-page or two-page format, along with enabling or disabling “continuous” mode.

I’m pretty sure that Safari (or more generally, Mac OS) has its own internal PDF renderer; Adobe Acrobat has nothing to do with it. It’s not like the old days where PDFs needed a plug-in to open in the browser window.

lovely! thanks!
