My Post Office doesn’t do much mail delivery. Most residents have a PO Box.
That means that often when there are ads, there are some scattered around on the floor near the trash can. This includes political ads.
But someone, one particular box holder, keeps putting the mailed ads on the frame for the official bulletin board.
There have been a lot of ads. The ones this box holder keeps putting on the bulletin board are for Republican candidates.
There are a number of possibilities:
He is rooting for these candidates and is putting up ads for them,
He is not rooting for these candidates but is showing his contempt for the idea of taking the ads home, or
He’s just a moron.
Regardless of his intent, he’s displaying advertising in the Post Office. When I see the ads, I take them down and discard them (every morning for the past week).
You say you’ve been taking the ads down for the past week. Are you taking only the political ads down, just republican ads down, or all of them? I ask because you say you’ve only been doing the past week which leads me to believe you’re either taking down just political ads, or just republican ads, and not other ads. Because regular ads are common in PO’s all the time. Is there a policy for the board? If not, implement one.
As to both of your actions, I’d say you’re both being little childish, him more then you. You need to make a policy for the board.
I should have been clearer. The official bulletin board of the Post Office is behind glass. It displays things about stamps and forms and whatnot. This guy keeps putting only Republican ads on the frame. Only ads sent to his PO Box, and only Republican ads. No other ads are being put on the frame.
If this guy is foolish enough to put up mail that has his own address upon it, it’ll be obvious to the Postmaster who is responsible for this. The Postmaster will likely send him a letter telling him to cease & desist, and that ought to take care of the situation.
