Have you confronted her about this?
Michael Steele has a pretty good name to be starring in a porn movie with that title.
Do you work with me?? Except for that in my case, my coworker has the regional manager on speed dial, and if anything ever seems remotely unfair to her (which about 78% of our stores sales procedures/protocol appear to her to be) she will be on the phone to him in a hot minute. She never goes to the store director, because he doesn’t put up with her bullshit anymore, which she reads as him “not respecting her,” so off she runs to the regional. She is mentally/emotionally stuck in junior high. (p.s. she’s 40)
I had a 50-ish woman who worked as a Security Officer who was like that. She didn’t get her job because of any previous experience, but because she had worked at the Stable where our boss kept her horse.
One time while responding to an Emergency, I had to call for backup. I can see her walking toward me directly across the street. Then I call for backup and watch her quickly turn and walk FAST around the building in the opposite direction. Of course, she denied the whole thing, claiming to be clear across campus.
Would seek the easiest duties possible and use her connection to the boss to complain about anything that didn’t go her way. She’d just walk into the bosses’ office any time, butter her up by talking about horses, then complain about how unfair it was and how disrespectful we were being (since she had been there a long time), blah blah blah. The saddest part was that the boss bought it and kept ruling in her favor even when she was blatantly lazy and uncooperative.
Unfortunately, the boss ended up bringing in a 20+ year crony to do some work for her, and this woman had the lack of foresight to go into the bosses office and badmouth the guy and say how his completely fair and unbiased rulings about how things should operate were totally unfair to HER.
She lost that argument and quit in a huff.
Bwahaha.
