It has received 15 or so views but no responses. Is there something about the post that makes you say, “Jeez, I wouldn’t answer that baby if you paid me.” Any suggestions?
I know it hasn’t been so long. But in the past, I’ve posted things I thought might bring about a robust discussion and they just fizzled. I’m looking for a stylistic critique and a chance to improve my posting.
I guess I could make this more general and put it on IMHO. Something along the lines of, “Aside from obvious no no’s (like posting in the wrong forum) what bugs the hell out of you when you see it in an OP?”
Maybe a clearer subject? Maybe mentioning something about the taste in there, rather than that there’s just a difference. If there are enough page views though, this isn’t the problem.
It might be that people tend to answer simply asked questions more readily than general “do you have a comment on this?” posts. It’s relatively difficult to skim your post to find out what you want to know. If your question is, “Why does water boiled in the microwave taste different than water boiled on the stove?”, you should probably ask that.
