That’s not the multiple ads with Ana de Armas, who’s Cuban, is it?
Those stupid DiGiorno pizza ads where they cook the frozen pizza direct on the oven rack instead of on a pan. Who’s going to clean that up?
Some frozen pizzas I’ve bought suggest in the instructions to cook them directly on the oven rack.
no this one was some english model/actress
Lily James?
yep thats her
Pizza stone is the way to go.
How else are you going to get a good crust, if you don’t have a pizza steel or stone?
I have a pizza diamond plate. Man-made, of course.
I hope whoever OKed the OTC dope commercial (I don’t know the brand) with a fat guy in a big red speedo burns in hell.
Why? He seems happy with his choice as does his wife. He isn’t hurting you.
Nobody in commercials ever “hurt” anybody. I’m happy that that guy’s happy, but he can go be happy somewhere other than on my tv.
The “Jesus Gets Us” ads are financed in part by the head of Hobby Lobby as an attempt at claiming that Christians are being persecuted.
I couldn’t give a shit about the Hobby Lobby guy. But the whole message of that commercial seemed to be “Don’t be an asshole.”
And while that’s a message I can certainly get behind, why would I need Jesus to tell me that? I can be a non-asshole just fine as an atheist.
Sorry, that post was for the super bowl thread.
I look at it the other way. It’s maybe to get the Jesus people to not be assholes, a lesson far too many of them need. (including Hobby Lobby)
We’re not the target audience.
The State Farm(?) ‘safe driver’ commercial where the two assholes are playing the “you go, no you go” game at a 4-way stop. That is not safe driving, as shown by the granny they are ramping up into road rage.
I don’t know if this is too local, but the Spectrum ads for their mobile phone service have reached new heights (depths?).
They now consist of their annoying spokesperson repeating their pitch “Only something something dollars and the first line is freeeee!” in brief vignettes, each one more annoying and louder. Over and over. The. Same. Line…Repeated many times in 60 seconds.
I grab for the mute button if there is even a hint this is going to appear on my screen. And it shows up everywhere, because I have Spectrum cable, so they take the unused commercial slots in just about every basic cable channel.
I agree. And my wife- who is an outspoken Pagan- thought the ad was fine. Sure they get some funding from some less than desirable source, but they are not directly connected.
I like this.
I am gonna start a P&E thread which is somewhat about this.
I hate that guy. I hope Spectrum is paying him millions, because I don’t see how he’ll ever be cast in any other project. People would boycott it.
Of course Spectrum is convinced that repetition is the key to sales. Apparently they also believe that viewers see the actor as embodying ‘a cool guy.’ But some of us beg to differ; he’s just a creep.
