I don’t think I’ve seen the commercial you’re talking about, so I could be completely wrong but I’ve read about creative people being happy they could finally create what they wanted to - because up until a certain point , they had to think about what was commercially viable rather than what they themselves like. It’s not necessarily about writing songs you don’t like - it’s probably more often that you’d rather play the songs you’ve written but can only get hired as a cover band for weddings/parties.
Meaning that you need a certain level of success to be able to play music you like.
Interestingly, there’s some men’s cleansing/deodorizing product being advertised now that features a fellow’s lady friend gasping and retching as she proclaims “Your balls smell like cheese curds!!” Apparently he hadn’t noticed a problem.
How do you feel about the ads for Amazon employment?
There’s one with a woman that says Amazon taught her robotics. She’s so happy. It ends with her and another guy fishing with all their leisure time.
I can teach anyone to operate a robotic arm in a few weeks. A lot of the keyboard interfaces for workers are designed for simplicity. Some use pictures instead of codes to learn. Similar to selecting produce at a U-Scan.
Presumably it’s the same logic that has pest-control vans put big pictures of roaches or black widow spiders on the side – hire us or you’ll get grossed out of existence or maybe even DIE!
