Again with the annoying commercials!

He should as Gemini or some other AI.

I saw another laundry detergent commercial in which a girl asks, “This is yellow; is it lights or darks?” That’s actually not a bad question, though I separate my laundry into colors (of all sorts) and whites (to which bleach is added). So the yellow item would go in my colors load.

I had no idea! A quick Google search shows that this is indeed the case.

It’s not even Thanksgiving yet and I’ve already had enough of Zales and Augie Rios.

Is it supposed to be interesting the way the color is so fucked up?

Seems to have been recorded off someone’s video screen and their saturation is way up.

Egad, so bad. The only thing that makes that song tolerable is if there are Llamas, a la Amazon.
It’s what I imagine commercials on a public access channel look like.

Not to mention the jewelry is ugly and cheap-looking.

Which reminds me of the rapper GLD commercials. I think they sell some genuine gold and silver, a lot of it is gaudy gold plated/cubic zirconia chains and such festooned around their necks. I guess the less well-off want to ape their betters who make millions and millions. But doesn’t it seem kind of silly for belligerent he-men to be wearing fake bling? (Costume jewelry seems fine, traditional, for women to wear, though.)

Medicare Advantage commercials have outdone themselves in obnoxiousness with the latest “We’re sorry we have to annoy you every year” ad. Bonus negative points for naming the annoyed viewer “Karen” to imply that objecting to this crap is unreasonably entitleed.

I saw one that was inadvertently funny. (dialog from memory)

Wife: Here is a plan that has dental and hearing coverage
Clueless TV husband: Dental coverage?
Wife: yes dental
Me, from couch: AND HEARING!

A Very Merry ME TV movie: Snoopy Come Home. :face_with_raised_eyebrow: That movie wrung buckets of tears out of me as a kid. I remember lying on my belly in front of the TV, with my hands propping up my chin and shielding view of my face, so no one would know I was crying.

I came here to say the same thing, assuming it’s the same ad. They show progressively more cleavage throughout the ad, as these gorgeous 20-something, all of them white, say, “Blue Chew! Blue Chew! Blue Chew!”

Reading the above 2 posts by themselves had me wondering what version of “Snoopy Come Home” I missed!

He is a member of their Geek Squad. They wear blue clothes.

Has anyone seen the new Jardiance commercial that doesn’t sing? It’s got an animated turtle talking while walking, but the turtle’s underbelly shell moves in a weird way. Turtles’ shells are solid! It’s creepy AF.

It’s local to Arizona, but this NA Casino commercial is…something. I applaud the creativity of the animation, you bet. Someone is either very creative or dropped too much acid, I’m not sure.

But I assure you, the customers at Gila River don’t look like that. They look like 60+ retirees and snowbirds, in their trump shirts and shorts with nametags from the retirement villages, sadly and desperately pushing the button on the slot machine over and over and over until the buffet opens, becaue they have nothing and their children hate them.

And if that song is real, I’m sad.

This is not at all incorrect. I Consulted at a couple casinos, and yep- the clientele is not the beautiful people. Retirees, bored, wearing shorts and t-shirts, etc, spending their Social Security on the slots, etc, Mostly smokers- addictive behaviors go hand in hand.

If you get to the poker tables, the clientele goes up some notches as the limits go up, but not the beautiful people.

Even at some of the upscale vegas casinos, where we had our conferences- still not the beautiful people.

The ad is hilarious in its inaccuracy.

I haven’t seen that one, but I saw one with a black man, and a new one with a Hispanic woman that uses the same tune, in a different key and at a different tempo.

I assume they’re trying to attract a new type of customer. I doubt they’ll succeed at bringing in young people with this pitch, but the commercial makes sense if that’s their goal.
