Again with the annoying commercials!

I coulda swore Bobby Brainworm said something about getting rid of them on TV. Of course, he says a lot of things.
Actually, I’m a little surprised trump hasn’t lifted the ban on tobacco advertising. First amendment, those damn regulations, and owning the libs- trifecta!

Well, it turns out there appears to be some bi-partisan support for more regulation on them, to outright bans being considered:

No, it’s not.

My father owes the last 22 years of his life to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. That said, their advertising has gotten sticky over the last few years. It used to be that of the sick kids charity ads, the Shriners Children’s Hospital commercials were by far the most overly cute and cloying, but they’ve seemed to have cut back on the sugar and pity in order to emphasize how, despite their illnesses, the kids they treat are now living active lives. St. Jude, on the other hand, has largely adopted Shriners’ old approach.

There’s a still ad I’ve seen online lately for the World Cup, that show a close-up of a player holding the trophy. But between the golden color of the trophy, and the gloved hand of the player, what he’s holding looks exactly like a giant bumblebee.

Well, OK, bumblebees aren’t nearly as obnoxious as a lot of things we see in ads, but I’m sure it’s not the image they were going for.
