Age of Conan -- new MMORPG

Ok, so it’s probably their systems being overwhelmed and my forum account info not propagating to the right places. I sent an email to the forum admin complaining about it anyway.

Another complaint: 8 character slots total? That’s very skimpy for a MMORPG with 12 classes.

I’d be happy to switch to another server, if we pick one quickly.

A friend of mine who is playing said there is some talk about some exploits being used to get characters up to max level (and maybe to clone gold and items)…has anyone heard anything about it? That would kill this game world or really cripple it if so.

When I logged in last night there was a patch note/notification that they were banning accounts that were using exploits. Unfortunately I have no details on what the exploit was or if it was fixed. But here’s a snip from an official announcement:

I have just purchased the game, could we get a little more consensus on the server? I’m hearing Zug as the top choice, so far.

I got the game but I am having probs with my computer locking up. It hasnt done that on any other game & I ran the system check with an all clear… I changed settings to low, which has helped but not corrected. I see some others talk of the same thing happening - what to do?

Maybe I just need to wait til i get my desktop puter over here… (currently running on XPS laptop/Dell)

Pixilated, just out of curiousity about your lock-up issues:

  • do you have nVidia graphics and/or motherboard chipset?
  • if you play WoWarcraft, do you have issues with it?

yes on nvidia & idk on the chip

absomutely no probs on WoW or any other games I have played

What model card? The release client has been having some positively (known) wonky issues on specific cards that by all logic should work on it (i.e. every ATI card in existence for some reason doesn’t work with this game, and I believe the NVidia 9xxx series is having issues).

it’s the nvidia 7900gs

That’s pretty much the recommended spec line. Recommended, as in it’ll run fine, but not all the bells&whistles.

(I’ve got the 7950GX2 and it chops somewhat in the city in daylight, but it’s otherwise fine.)
