Age of Mythology question (the PC game)

Can you heal your units?

I just got it (used) and the little book that came with it isn’t all that helpful.

It seems like the kind of game where you maybe don’t heal your units but since you can in the other Age Of games, I just assume you can.

Yes and No.

There are ways to heal your units depending on your culture and which minor gods you choose, but there isn’t a standard healing unit/building/power for all of them.

For example, if you are Norse and choose Odin, your units regenerate slowly back to health. If you choose Forseti as your first minor god you get the power “healing spring” which creates a fountain which heals any unit near it. Valkyries also heal units that are idle.

Egyptian priest can heal units, same with greek temples when you use a technology belonging to Apollo.

If you have the Titans expansion the atlanteans have myth units like the automaton that repair each other or the caladria which heals units but can’t attack.

Wasabee, probably the easiest thing to do here is to go “Options” on the main menu and make sure you have “Full Rollover Help” toggled on, that way the game will give you much more information about everything you mouse over. It’s much easier to learn by playing than to look at the book. The tutorial in the game is helpful at first, but it gets old quickly.

As for healing, as The Audience said, most of the time there is a way, but it’s different in every culture under every god. I think the only time you don’t have any way to heal your units is under Posidon.

Thank guys.
It’s a good game. I think it lacks a little of the ease of management of the Age of Empires games.
