Looking at pictures or videos of your deceased wife - fond memories that help dull the pain. A box, probably glowing, that’s a talking AI that behaves like it’s her - quick path to insanity. IMHO.
Of course, Anna being a primitive AI certainly fits in with the modern Jarvis.
James D’Arcy is a surprisingly good actor. Very subtle but realistic array of emotions, moving smoothly across his face. Kid needs more work. (looking at IMDB) No, I guess he’s constantly working. Kid needs a vacation.
Jarvis calling in that “anonymous” tip was a good gag. I was expecting him to do an over-the-top NYC accent, he didn’t disappoint.
Also agreed that something funny is going on with his wife, Anna. In the first couple episodes, my thought was her character is kept “off-screen” because maybe they only needed to establish her existence for Jarvis’ sake, and other than that was of no substance to the story itself.
But now three episodes in, they keep her off-screen, yet in the fold for the story, so there must be a twisty reason.
And yeh, I thought Leviathan is Dottie too. I hope they’re just setting up a red herring on that one, otherwise it’s too obvious too soon.
Not much time for “too soon” in 8 episodes.
Well, to put it in perspective, it’s like figuring out ‘Who Done It’ in the first act of a film.
Or it could be like the woman getting murdered in Psycho: a twist indicating the story isn’t about what you think it is.
True, as this isn’t necessarily a ‘who done it’, per se.
I wonder if Dottie could actually be Anna, and keeping Anna off screen is just necessary to hide that. This would also point to Anna / Dottie either being Leviathin, or at least having evil intent, perhaps as a part of Leviathin’s organisation.

Yeah, me neither, but watching the others turn into conspiracy theorists before our eyes is kinda funny.
This really bothered me. Lawyers could get involved with the NYPD. Lawyers pulling that stuff on the country’s top security agency during the Cold War on behalf of a flunky working for a suspected traitor? It is to laugh.
One thing I couldn’t catch even on replay. When the muscleman found Peggy he said that someone said she might be there. Who was that someone?
The killer with the hat (who bumped off Krzeminski and the muscleman) was seen in the shadows, observing Peggy and Jarvis arrive… so I assume it was he/she who sent the muscleman in. The muscleman obviously knew hat-guy, since he pleaded that he didn’t tell them anything. So, my reading of scenario is that hat-guy watched them arrive and sent in muscle, then decided muscle might talk. The death of Krzeminski was collateral.

I’m still trying to figure out Stark’s comment in episode 1 the “and she’ll never know…”
But Krzeminski said a name. That can’t be killer with the hat, or else we would know who that is.
