Yes, as discussed in this thread. I can’t find it online either.
What were the video shorts they were talking about? Is that something upcoming, or something they already did?
The SHIELD eps have been dropping on the ABC site free to everyone one week after broadcast, perhaps they’ll do that with this one also?
Already done. Search Youtube.
what exactly are the Asgardians? they don’t seem to be immortal, so they are long-lived. when Sif took that shotgun blast point-black, was that her or her armour?
Exceptionally long-lived, and very tough. You can still poke holes through them, but, as demonstrated in a previous episode, you can keep them alive by reaching in and holding things together with your bare hands. Things like, say, a heart. Did I say very tough? VERY tough. Remember Loki vs. The Hulk from The Avengers. VERY VERY tough. But not unstoppable.
So, I’d say it was her armor–if it had been just her skin, she would have gotten torn up (but survived).
Mainly her armor, although Asgardians are rather durable.
Marvel One Shots. They’re released on the DVD/Blu-ray of whatever the latest MCU movie is, so there have been five to date, and no doubt more in the future. The first two were very short, but they’ve been increasing in length. The best so far was the one that showed Agent Carter’s future, but the one with the Mandarin was damn funny (and had Terry Tate, Office Linebacker in it).
Which discs were the Agent Carter and Mandarin One shots on?
Agent Carter was on “Iron Man 3”, All Hail the King (the Mandarin) was on “Thor: The Dark World”.
And of course, you’ve got to watch all the way through the credits to get the whole thing.
Huh? I never have. I just access them via the disc menu.
Sorry, I meant watch the credits of the One-Shots. They’ve got stingers too, like the movies do.
So, agreed with others on the stupidity of Ward being there. I can buy the idea that her voice was already affecting him, but why not use some of the wispy-echoey effect to show that, as soon as she sees him?
My bigger problem, though, is harder to fix: I find the Asgardians really dreary. They’re all so serious. Thor would be so much more fun if he were a drunken brawler, like he was way back when, and the other Asgardians could be similarly foulmouthed hotheads who have trouble taking anything that’s not a giant seriously. Instead we get a bunch of straight-arrows who wouldn’t know a cuss word if it bit them on the ass.
This was my least favorite episode to date.
We already had the Berzerker, who had since calmed down.
 He’s an lighter Asgardian.
Who should we assume exists in the Marvel 616 universe? Obviously all of the Avengers from the movies (soon to include Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, the Falcon and Ant Man), with their associated villains, plus Asgardians, Deathlok, Graviton, that cold-using former Agent-in-training, and whoever is involved with the Guardians of the Galaxy exist. What about the X-Men, Fantastic Four, Spiderman, etc? I know they can’t appear on screen–or probably even be mentioned–due to licensing issues, but do they exist in this world?
This show keeps saying telepaths don’t exist–which would seem to say Professor X doesn’t exist, but if we’ve got Scarlet Witch, we kinda have to have Magneto…
The Ultimate version of Thor went in an interesting direction. They portrayed him as a spacey New Age type.
My interpretation is that they exist but are unknown to SHIELD (and therefore unknown to us).
I dunno, if Spider-Man existed in this universe, you’d think he have showed up during the Battle of New York, yeah?
yeah, along with the Fantastic Four, also headquartered there. The X-Men are in upstate NY if I remember correctly, a quick flight in their jet…
We have to assume these characters don’t exist in the Marvel-studios Universe. If they can’t be mentioned, appear, or thus effect events, they might as well not exist.
In terms of timeline, maybe Peter Parker is just now discovering his powers, and isn’t a full on superhero yet. Maybe Reed Richards and the rest exist, but have not yet taken their fateful flight. I guess I’m hoping that the movie rights will eventually revert and the universe can be seamlessly joined together.
