In the Church, yes. Director of the choir in the Church of England. Our college precentor (Dr Webber) was a little man with glasses. Our praelector (Dr Robinson) was a big man with a beard. See, I can remember their ruddy names and what they looked like!

Wow. Our Pralector was a guy called Dr Mike Hobson - my Director of Studies in fact. A rather good looking man, if my mother’s any judge. (Looks a bit like Smith from the Matrix).

Matt, since you are a Languages Majour, I though it would be appropriate to send you congratulations in different languages. Here then in English/Dutch/Papiamentoe……. I wouldn’t/couldn’t attempt French because while I too am Canadian, I am first and foremost a Newfie, my father would roll over in his grave (except that he was cremated) anyhoo ……
