Ahhh...the first grilling of the season

It was around 80 today in Atlanta. Sunny and gorgeous, with a few clouds here and there.

It’s 9:20pm and it is still 70, and I’m still blissfully full.

This evening we bought a little charcoal grill at Kroger for $50, some Matchlight charcoal, and had some mmmmMMMMM good homemade cheese burgers off the grill, cooked on our front porch.

Extra lean ground beef seasoned with garlic, soy sauce, and black pepper. With a nice slice of smoked gouda.

Topped with a few slices of vine-ripened tomato, avocado, some broccoli sprouts, Hellman’s, horseradish spicy mustard, and a smidge of ketchup.

contented sigh

Heck, I haven’t stopped grilling! Wednesday Night Barbecue is sort of a tradition here. I picked up some country pork ribs today for next Wednesday.

Damn you warm people.
Damn you Buffalo, New York. It was 68 degrees here today.

Grrr.

I like chicken. I like to grill. I like to barbecue. Corn is good on the grill.

Shrimp is good as well.
Whyinthefuck can’t that be me? I need to be rich so I can never be cold again and grill with (more) supermodels.

I’m right up next to the Canadian border. Mid-50s today. High-30s in the Winter is no obstacle to fire + meat!

I won’t deny it. I’ve done winter grilling.
I just like warm. I think I also like bitching about being cold, too, though.

Well, if it would just stop freaking raining here in the bay area I could maybe slap some prawns or steaks on the grill. As it is, I think our Weber is growing mushrooms instead.

25 (I think) days of rain in March, 2006 in San Francisco - a record

We grill year round as well.

Neither rain, nor snow, nor cold, nor dark of night, …
Must be a PNW thing.

Except I’m a native Southern Californian.

Maybe I’m just fitting in.

I grill year-round, and I’m in Edmonton, Alberta.

Well… I do grill year round, but there are somelimits. I generally don’t grill if it’s below minus 15 celsius (5F), or if it’s warmer than that but the windchill takes it below minus 20.
