Slug’s cartoon quite creatively depicts a guy “ladling,” and the recent death of Osama reminded me of this. I think it was genius. What do you think?
I think it probably a rip-off from the Saturday Night Live sketch where guest star Dan Ackroyd (IIRC) played a character called Old Sammy, who complained that his business “Old Sammy’s Bin Ladles” had been adversely affected by the reporting on the 9/11 attacks.
njtt, note the date of the article – July 20, 2001. The SNL skit, as you said, came after September 11, 2001. If anything, SNL ripped off Slug. (Of course, it’s most likely a case of independent development, the similarity of “bin Laden” and “been ladlin’” being pretty easy to tumble upon.)

Well, if you judge him by the company he keeps it’s a short leap to genius. Unless he has some dirt on Cecil; Cecil doesn’t know Glenn Beck, does he?
(I heard Glenn Beck raped and murdered a young girl in 1990. It’s odd that he won’t deny these claims we’re hearing.)
