AHS - feh. AHS phone staff - double feh

Anyone a customer of American Home Shield? I am getting the impression that they are not the easiest home warranty company to arrange for work to be done.
(clumsy sentence, but I am semi-pissed). I called 24 hours ago for a service call on my dishwasher. Not an emergency, but since I am off work this week I figured someone could maybe call today and come tomorrow. Ha! Having waited all day for the call, I re-called AHS and found out that my request had not been sent out yet. I asked for the name and number of the service company and requested that the AHS person send my info to them pronto. Wait and wait and wait. No call. So I make the call to the appliance place, and lo and behold they have my info. Next available time slot - Tuesday, Jan. 3rd. One full week. That doesn’t exactly work into my schedule, but what else can be done???

My last and final call to AHS to gently complain about above situation - phone monkey says (without a touch of irony) that my request was not processed quickly because my file had “too many phone numbers in it”. Yeah, right - I guess both a home and cell number can become overwhelming to some people, even though I had given them the cell as primary contact number when I made the initial request. So to end my conversation with AHS phone goddess, I said “thank you” because I am an inherently polite person. And she said “Not a problem”. Grrrrrrrrrrrr. I think the correct words are “You’re welcome!”, said with great respect and sincerity.

I’m going to the store to buy more liquid dish soap, either that or paper plates and plastic utensils. And they better say “thank you” to me at the checkout, or it’s gonna get ugly.
