Amazon customer satisfied! Here's a hint ...

I ordered some DVDs from Amazon last week, and the status kept saying “carrier notified for pickup” for several days (long past the two day delivery I’d selected), so I did something terrible and wonderful: I called their customer service. And there’s the trick: they hide their customer service phone number so well that I never did find it on their site. So I googled it and the number is:
(800) 201-7575

I found it here.

I guess the customer service people aren’t overwhelmed with calls, given that the number is essentially unlisted, so … they sent out a duplicate order by overnight and it’s already arrived! (My original order is still awaiting pickup by UPS).

Hope the number is useful to someone. If even one person gets their order expedited or replaced, my job is done…

I agree that if you manage to get the on the phone they’re pretty awesome (and dare I say it - they speak good English!)

One time I was having problems with a form not working correctly and I found that number somewhere, called and talked to a guy who hooked me up in no time flat and explained that they’d just updated their site hence the problem with the form.

And it was 2 AM!

You can also have them call you, if you go here. It’s buried quite deep in the Help Center and, unfortunately, it’s only good in the US and Canada right now.

Thanks for the info. I have often wanted to call them, now I can. Although I rarely do business with them anymore.

I had almost the exact same experience about 5 years ago. Good to know times haven’t changed that much. I don’t know if the problem was Amazon or UPS, but I haven’t used either since.
