Air Fryer make/model suggestions

My gf has a $100 gift card and she wants to buy an air fryer. Later today it will be my job to log into Amazon Prime and make the purchase.

Suggestions on a make/model? Size is unimportant; we have a cupboard in our basement where things like waffle irons, food processors, etc reside when not in use.

Thanks!

Don’t get the one with a rotisserie, basket, dehydrater.

Get the original version. I use the origanal version with the basket. The brand I bought was the power Air Fryer XL.

The first one I mentioned is huge and a pain to use and get the pieces to fit right.

Cool! I see it on Amazon.

Moving thread from IMHO to CS.

Review of four air fryers. Only one model cooked the chicken in the expected time (green one). The rotisserie model took the longest and I wouldn’t buy that one.

Definitely need to use a thermometer and check that they are done.

Looks delicious.

My wife has been talking about getting a air fryer. Air fryers are bigger appliances than I expected. They are very interesting and they use very little oil.

I like that video because it gives a good sense of how a real person uses them. Rather than a carefully rehearsed demo.

The cooks essential 5.5qt seems the best for cooking a whole bird.

Yeah, from what I’ve read so far we’re going to want to go above 5 quarts (I’ve seen 5.3 and 5.8)

We got the 2.4 quart? Power Air Fryer XL at Target one weekend while we were out Christmas shopping. They had it on sale for something ridiculous like half off plus an additional $25 off (plus the 5% we get for using the Target debit card) and I told my wife, “Even if we don’t need it, it’s too good a deal to pass up.” I haven’t used it for much more than cooking fries or chicken nuggets or fish sticks, but it’s quicker than waiting for the oven to warm up and better than microwaving.

My daughter got me the same model as shh1313 and I love it. I recently made up a batch of scotch eggs in it and they turned out perfect.
