There are things I don’t use until I need them. Today it’s Airdrop.

I shot a 10-second video of the snow this morning. At 20 MB, it’s too big to email. I tried Airdrop. I tapped the icon for my MacBook, saw that the iPhone said ‘Sent’, opened the Airdrop in Finder, and… nothing.

I used to be able to connect my iPhone as an external device to my older MacBook Pro and save whatever I wanted. The new one doesn’t let me do that; so I have to email things to myself. I did get the video onto my computer by uploading it to Facebook and downloading it from there, but Airdrop would be better… if I can figure out how to work it.

It should end up in your “Downloads” folder

And, you should be able to plug your phone into your computer, go to Photos, and import everything…
