Al Gore accused of sexual assault in Portland

I heard it was a $500 massage. I think massage therapists that travel to you may charge more but $500 seems a bit high for a standard therapeutic massage.

Well, if that’s the case, then she shouldn’t have been shocked at a request for a happy ending.

Are there massage therapists in the Doper community? From what I’ve heard from my own massage therapist, all masseurs and masseuses will be asked to provide a happy ending at some point, no matter how many degrees and certificates are on their wall or how legitimate their office. Some clients just assume it’s always on the menu when a massage is involved, others think everyone’s got a price, and some probably get a thrill out of getting a handjob from someone who doesn’t usually do it (like going to an escort who seems like the girl next door versus a street prostitute).

raises hand Yes, I’m a massage therapist. Yes, we pretty much all get propositioned at some point and yes, they even teach us some strategies in school for how to handle it.

But also, yes, I’d far more expect a $500/hr “masseuse” to provide happy endings than a $100/hr “licensed massage therapist”. It’s a marketing thing, but it’s a pervasive marketing thing. You charge that much and call yourself a masseuse, and I’m going to assume you massage more than skeletal muscle.

If this really is something Al Gore indulges in, I am a bit surprised that he would use a legit massage therapist in the first place.

I think it would be a much more of a sure thing to call an escort and arrange for her to cum up to his room under the guise of a massage therapist, where both people know the drill and both parties are happy with the arrangement.

This would make the escort less likely to go to the cops or media (as she would be admitting prostitution) than a real massage therapist who may well be shocked and offended when she found out what Vice President Gore actually wanted from her…

I would bet if there was sexual contact between this woman and Al Gore that is was consentual at the time (and highly lucrative for the woman) but she decided afterwards that his spunk on her pants was better than a winning Oregon State lottery ticket.

She’s a day late and a dollar short unless she has hard evidence. Given Al Gore’s pending divorce it is certain that it will be thoroughly vetted by his wife’s attorney.

As of today, Portland police have re-opened this case, which they had declared closed a couple of years back…

I just read some of the specifics that the woman now alleges—Al Gore demanded she drink cognac with him (she claims not to ever drink alcohol), she was pressured by Portland’s “Birkenstock Mafia” to keep the story to herself so as to spare Al Gore’s reputation and so he wouldn’t have to halt the vital work he does on behalf of the environment, she says that she was certain if she ran from the hotel room that Al Gore’s security detail would rough her up :dubious: and she said that she has worked as a massage therapist for such luminaries as Hulk Hogan and the Counting Crows, and has never been assulted by her other wealthy and famous clients…

(She also said she called Gore a “crazed sex poodle” to his face but it didn’t shame him into instant deceny and heartfelt repentance, as he then came all over her pants)

I am a frequent client of LMT’s (Licenced Massage Therapist). I want a deep tissue, full body massage with no “happy ending”. I know all about the difference between the services of a LMT and the people that offer an “erotic” or “tantra” massage.

The fact is that the massage therapist is in control. If a customer asks for something that the LMT is not willing to give then the LMT simply walks out and ends the session. Some naked guy is not going to chase them down the hallway of a hotel. The LMT does not stick around to be accosted or collect DNA. That can’t happen unless the therapist allows it.

The story is so full of holes that it can’t have any veracity. In the real world the LMT would have just walked out and not let herself get pushed around while he ejaculated. The story has no legs. It has to be money grab. That’s the real world.

Maybe Al wanted more than just a deep tissue massage. So what? That’s not something that should entitle a LMT to extortion. She should probably be prosecuted.

Again, any reputable LMT will just end the session and walk out. I actually discussed this story with my LMT.

Where did that lady find a phrase like “crazed sex poodle?”.

I’ve never heard it before.

Sounds like a tabloid headline. Odd the lady claims that she said it to Gore while he was groping her.

Google crazed sex poodle

There are thousands of Gore hits This story will never die.

distract him with moonstruck chocolates? LOL this has to be made up. I’ve read better pulp fiction.

The Smoking Gun has the full transcript of her statement to police. I’m struggling to find it credible.

I’d pictured a nubile young masseuse, but it says she was 54 at the time. Not that a middle-aged woman can’t be groped, of course, but if >I< were going to hire someone for a tug job…

Ah, now I see. It’s all a marketing ploy for Moonstruck chocolates. “Moonstruck chocolates will turn any one into a crazed sex poodle”.

The court threw the stupid case out. She flunked the lie detectors and the stain was not cum. There was nothing there .
Must be heartbreaking for right wing Gore haters.

Here’s a cite for that.

I’m not saying I believe her (especially since the stain doesn’t seem to have any semen), but I don’t think a lie detector tests means anything either way. Those things are notoriously inaccurate.

Are they really. They are not close to perfect so they are not proof. But cops use them all the time. They do mean something.

So what the hell was it? Brylcreem?

A little dab 'll do ya!

Not important, it did not come from a human. Just a stain.

The way I understand it, they can be accurate but their primary use is to convince criminals that the cops know what they did, which makes them more willing to fess up. From a police standpoint, that would make them useful even if the readings were usually wrong.
