Tell me again why we didn’t just let the Confederates leave.
Right. No religious bigotry in the north, now is there?
We’re rednecks, we’re rednecks
We don’t know our ass from a hole in the ground.
We’re rednecks, we’re rednecks,
…
Well, my sister is single, so if he really wants her number…
Because then none of you idiots would have been able to flock down here by the millions and build miles upon miles of subdivisions.
Link? Not because I doubt you, but because I’d like to read the article.
I pulled it up on the first try with google.
I anxiously await the calm acceptance when a Governor utters in his inauguration speech: ‘Anybody here today who has accepted Jesus Christ as their savior, I’m telling you, you’re delusional, and I don’t want you to be delusional.’
That would be the governor of Fantasy Land, in case you were wondering.
Wow. Googlemania!
The north is full of assholes and lunatics, we just try to not elect them.
FWIW, he’s married and his wife is a Christian. So, he’s sleeping with his sister. Oh, those Southerners.
Interesting bit from wikipedia.
WTF
Hey, even genital warts deserve competent representation.
Just to be clear, the Gov did not do this in his inaugural speech, he did it at a church following the inauguration as a private citizen and has every right to do so. But I also have every right to let out a loud fart at a wedding. Decorum and respect for others prevents me from doing so.
Agreed. I have to wonder, though, what the reaction would’ve been if he’d said a similar statement as a Muslim, in a mosque.
“That loud popping noise you just heard? Millions of right-wing heads exploding across the nation.”
Or used some Mormon lingo, or that anyone not accepting the Pope was not his brother, or that non-Jews weren’t his brother.
What if I don’t want to be his brother?
I don’t want him to be my brother, and I’m betting most people don’t.
Really. He’d probably expect a birthday card every year, and turn out the be the type that doesn’t reciprocate.
Sex change?
It’s worth pressing him to explain what he meant (the statement from his office speaks to what he didn’t), but I’m not sure this is as much as some would make it. He may be unusually honest for a politician. Do any elected officials in secular countries believe that all their constituents are their “brothers”?
