See no need for SSM laws, it’s all perfectly legal now 
Probably 30-some years ago (I seem to recall I was ~15YO), long before SSM became the issue that it was today, I put forth this statement to one of my older sisters:
“So, lemme get this straight: if you’re Catholic, it’s good for you to marry another Catholic; if you’re white, it’s good for you to marry someone else who’s white; if you’re middle class, it’s good for you to marry someone else who’s middle class, but if you’re a guy, it’s bad for you to marry or want to marry someone else who’s a guy???”
I didn’t know the term ‘WTF’ way back then. But that’s pretty much what this whole idea of parity except in terms of sex did to me. In my teenage mind, and now, in my pushing-50 mind, it doesn’t matter how many of those things you have in common or how many of those things you hold in difference. If you are fortunate enough to have found someone you love so much you want to commit your life to them, and they feel the same way, good on ya!
