Guns N’ Roses - Appetite for Destruction
The Black Crowes - Southern Harmony and Musical Companion
Jayhawks - Hollywood Town Hall
Ben Harper - Burn to Shine
Jeff Buckley - Grace
Led Zeppelin - II, IV
Bob Marley - Uprising
Everything by the Beatles, or at least all the releases in which all the songs were written by them.
Probably Axis: Bold as Love by Jimi Hendrix. I would put Electric Ladyland, but “Voodoo Chile” sometimes bores me.
Probably something by Simon and Garfunkel, but I can’t remember what.
Burnt Weeny Sandwich*, We’re Only in It For the Money, Sheik Yerbouti, One Size Fits All, Them or Us, and various other Frank Zappa albums. Maybe the record version of Uncle Meat, since the CD version has the 40-minute film excerpt.
All Things Must Pass by George Harrison. Although there are songs on the CD that I can’t stand, like the painful redone version of “My Sweet Lord.”
Dis is Da Drum by Herbie Hancock.
Probably Deja Vu by CSNY. I would say Crosby, Stills, and Nash by CSN, but it has that horrid “My Lady of the Island” by Graham Nash. His songs are usually my favorite compositions, too.
Surrealistic Pillow and Volunteers by Jefferson Airplane.
Mariachi from Mexico by the Mexican Mariachi Band, conducted by Lopez Varanga or something like that. Finnsh Sing-A-Long by the Finland Singers.
And to whomever said In the Court of the Crimson King by King Crimson, what about the end of “Moonchild”? That’s what, like 20 minutes of what sounds like chimpanzees let loose in a room full of percussion instruments! The rest of the album rules.
Oops, forgot to put the * for Burnt Weeny Sandwich, which is that I’m not sure if I like “WPLJ” or not.
Theres no such thing as a perfect album but theres a few groups i can usually listen to a whole cd of them
counting crows
wheezer green day bad religion social distortion … ramones
pet shop boys rancid … although thats only for and out comes the wolves since i cant understand anything but 3 songs on salvation …
I’d like to say elvis costello but i dont like most of hius slow songs and a couple of his last albums had what i perceived to be anti christan rants , not that im christan but i dont like anyones views being put down
