On hold at Sam Goody (formerly On Cue). I’ve got half of it paid down, and I’ll probably pay the rest off this week, so I can just cruise in, grab it, and cruise out again. Time to start re-reading the first four!

Me and my sister reserved two copies at Barnes and Noble because neither of us wanted to wait and we ordered the English version (I am in the US). Ahh, I can’t wait any longer!!
I’m #3 on the list at my friendly neighborhood independant bookstore. But, curse it all, my father wants me to go to his father/daughter church dinner that night at 6, so I’ll have to get it first thing in the morning and read it before I leave.
I still haven’t ordered mine.
I’m waffling. If I go through Amazon, when will I get it?
If I go through a local indy store, will I have to beat back tons of children ( with mine in tow) in order to satisfy this jonesing coursing through my veins?
I am likely to go mad either way.
And, I’ll probably go through Amazon as I have $25 gift certificate that I want to use, only I have about bajillion other books that I want to buy and essentially my credit card bill alone next month will be around the Gross National Deficit.

I haven’t ordered a copy yet. I’m so ashamed. My status as an HP fan is in serious jeopardy.
Not entirely my fault though. My dad promised me a copy for graduation. So what does he do? Goes out and buys me a printer, then turns around and says “I don’t have enough money for the book.” Grrr. I mean, it’s a nice enough printer and all…and I’m sure I actually need it more than the book…but when you repeatedly ask me what I want for a present and then don’t get it for me, I get a little unhappy. Especially when I’ve been more than dropping hints for months now.
So now he’s theoretically ordering it off Amazon and I have to pay him back. I’m not entirely happy about the matter, but at least I’ll have the book.
Just a tip for anyone thinking of ordering the audiobook as a gift.
It’s 26 hours long.

The Talisman audiobook was 29 hours, and I made it through that!
Not buying it. Ain’t no way I’m paying AU$50 for it. There’s a remote chance I might break down and buy a copy for whatever Target and Kmart have it priced at. If it’s low enough.
But IMO it’s all marketing hype and hoopla.

I don’t know if this will help you or not, but Amazon says the ordering the book with standard shipping will get it there by June 21, the release date. So, you wouldn’t have to wait much longer (if at all) by ordering it there.
I’ve ordered it from Amazon. I did get an email from them telling me that I would get it on June 21 as long as I lived in an area that receives Saturday parcel delivery, and I do.
I also ordered it for my niece and my mother… the rest of my family ordered it themselves.
It comes out ON my birthday so I’m guessing that I will be getting it for that. I’m glad my parents will be getting it, I sure wouldn’t go to the store on a day like that.
I’m not gonna say that I’ll be 30 on that day.
I’m guessing Hagrid dies, and that Dumbledore kills him after going over to the dark side.
does any one agree about the ron-hermione-harry orgy thing? there will at least b some kind of love triangle. come on! we all know ron is crushing on hermione and hermione is crushing on harrry! its so perfect!!!
sure there is a possibility that harry could forget about that cho girl or at least hook up with her. maybe he will fall in love with moaning murtle’s ghost.
as for the whole thing with dumbledore … you can’t kill the headmaster of the school…but you can kidnap him. my guess is that “he who must not be named” will grow some balls and kidnap dumbledore.
and hagrid…his ferocious creatures might hurt him to the point that he may have to go to madame pomphrey’s office for a few weeks…or days.
i dont think J.K. Rolling would dare kill another charakter after what happened to poor Cedric. she doesnt want the nuns going medival on her ass

For me, Harry’s OK. Not great, but OK.
I’m happy everyone else is looking forward to it, though. I know some bookstores are counting on H.P. sales to help boost their bottom line, so y’all go out and buy extra copies! Especially from Borders!
